Templar of Doom

1242

I took a nasty Pavlovian reaction today when I heard the radio announce “Derby day” before realising the presenter was talking about the actual Derby.  The last thing anyone planning a night out in Glasgow is the ‘Glasgow derby’, as it was known in its final few years.

As anyone walking the streets of Glasgow and beyond in peace tonight will testify, we don’t want it or miss it.  I prefer my football, like my streets, without this nonsense.

Knights Templar sequestrated?  Blame those “enemies”.  George Peat, Campbell Ogilvie and Lex Gold forced through his appointment as SFA chief executive, despite him not meeting selection criteria.  As every wise footballer knows, know your level.

The magnificent framed Lionel Messi top we are auctioning for 1254125 has less than two days to run, keep an eye on it here.

Copies of Willie Wallace’ autobiography, Heart of a Lion, have been flying off the shelf.  The mail order fulfilment centre will have stock replenished on Monday after running out.  Order your copy below – still time for Father’s Day.

zimmerman – going to The Who on 12th, so I’ve taken the 13th off work. Might try and blag a ticket for Mr Young.

The acoustics are always hit and miss at these big concerts. And I wouldn’t go back to Hamdump after AC/DC….poor sound and so far away from the stage.

Hope The Boss playing there is better event for everyone going along. Does he still do about 3 and a half hours? Maniac!

Had a good day, totally bored already with this no football lark, in saying that, had a good night in the bar in the company of some quality Barca fans, who were very generous in their praise for the Celtic de Glasgow.

Concerts, went to see the Floyd at Knebworth, hitched from the NE, took me a day, stopped of in Newcastle for an illegal top up, superb, took me a couple of weeks to get home.

Next again year, did the same to see the Stones, took me a couple of months to get back, met a lovely young wan.

The Who at Paradise, they were good, as was Alex, but the band of the day for me was Little Feat, Roger was a close second, LS were LS.

  16. zimmerman

Was very fortunate in the 70s, worked for a recording studio in Edinburgh, also worked for a lighting mob, seen so many bands, bands most folks will have never heard of, but many who were quality, but the saddest thing, in all the bands I ever saw, the best quality production, the best sound, with our speakers obviously >}, was……..ABBA, they actually blew me away, I really didn’t like what they done, but, ffs, they were superb at doing it, the sound was wall to wall, and I could see why they were so popular, it just sort of hit you.

    And there were a few young wans around as well come to think of it >}

  17. Police interview Anders Breivik:

Police: Tell us Mr Breivik, did you murder all those young people who had been enjoying their youth camp?

Breivik: Oh no. That wasn’t me. That was the other person within me which is hosting me, the real me, Anders. That person has gone now. I am a new person. THE Anders.

Police: Oh that’s fine Mr Breivik. You can go then.

By the way, when you get home, can you call Mr Green and Mr Ogilvie and tell them it’s OK to go ahead with their plan? Thanks.

Afterwards at the press conference, the police said:

“Now move along Timmy. Nothing to see here…”

  20. THE EXILED TIM

    Since its confession time,

Michael Jackson at Glasgow Green, what a band, especially the female guitarist,

and ole’ Wacko aint no slouch live.

  21. Mea Culpa

I do not agree with your post.

    Brevik is a fascist murderer

    who should rot in hell.

  22. zimmerman

Never had the pleasure of seeing the man live, closest would be the prince fella, and he blew me away.

Strange thing about music, I love everything from a to z, as long as I like it, that does for me.

people who can sing, that is my passion, especially singers of the female form, they give me better pleasure than their male counterparts.

I used to cream my pants about Kate Bush, then I saw her a month or so ago, and she is the same size now as I am, seriously done me in.

I still have a wonderful singer in the cave, she can sing to beat the band, and she does it every day, today I had the Fields, Song for Marcella, that gets the tears flowing, and a few others, she likes to clean, and the singing is part of the deal, happy days.
