Ticketus secure their £40m of tickets

1467

None of you will be surprised at today’s opinion from the Court of Session in Edinburgh that Rangers’ deal with Ticketus cannot be set aside, despite some absolutely pitiful reporting to the contrary.  It’s fine to get things wrong every now and then, we all get Duff information on occasion, but please….

It’s worth recording, Ticketus may only have paid £20m + vat but the tickets they own are worth in the region of £40m. High risk investments require a high return.

Rangers’ administrators argued that the deal inhibited their ability to rescue the company but the heroic Blue Knights submitted a bid accommodating Ticketus, undermining the administrators’ argument. If only the Blue Knights were in a position to strike a deal with Craig Whyte they could be regarded as helping the situation instead of being hapless fools.

Next up is HMRC, who have not capitulated and agreed to accept a few pennies in the pound.  They have not agreed to accept anything less than all monies owed.  Soon after that we will hear that no court has been able to set aside Craig Whyte’s security over Ibrox.  The most underappreciated man no longer in Scotland remains the only person with a reasonable chance of phoenix-ing Rangers.

The first 26,000 (approx.) tickets sold to each Rangers game for the next three years are owned by Ticketus.  In the event a phoenix occurs, Rangers will have to revert back to budgets from their glory days of the 1950s – we will soon be told this is a great omen.

If you are going to Ibrox on Sunday, take care and enjoy your visit.  Take photographs of the occasion and send them in, we’ll perhaps use them on a future edition of CQN Magazine.  It may prove to be the end of an era.

If you’ve not read the article below, about one of Jinky’s great performances, do so now.

Issue 7 of CQN Magazine is out now! Go to the dedicated magazine site here to read it properly (which you’ll not be able to do below).

Thanks to everyone who has bought a hard copies of the magazine, it looks like the sold out sign will go up again.  Order your copy for delivery by clicking on the link below for news and views from Celtic supporters.

  1. As we near any trip to Ibrox, I become concerned about our poor record there. Even against a Rangers team with little (literally) on the bench, I feel there will be a hard game to play and I do not expect an easy win.

Of course, I am relaxed that it is not a crucial game in determining the outcome of the league so I hope some of that relaxed mood helps the squad perform without the inhibition and poor judgement that comes when you are too wound up.

Pity wee James is likely to be out as he has the direct game which can trouble their older slower defenders. If JF and GH do not make it, we will need the pace of Samaras.

    My team would be

    Forster

    Mathews Rogne Mulgrew Ledley

    Brown Wanyama Ki Commons Samaras

    Stokes

3 subs to use: Lustig, McGeoch (or Paddy), & Brozek

  2. I was driving past the old Love Street stadium and noticed that things had changed. There used to be a bookies right next to a psychic center …(always wondered if punters ever went to the psychic centre first) alas both have gone, it would have made a great photo.

It’s been on the cards for long enough, the Dougie Dougie thing was the real start of things, and it was smashing us in the face that they were out of their depth.

    _____________

Was Dougie-Dougie the first domino in a chain reaction or was the whole structure so rotten that even the mildest breeze would demolish the ‘Big House’. One thing’s certain – after Dougie-Dougie it was never again bright confident morning for the rat pack.

I would not be surprised to see Lustig come in at RB for this game, young Adam has not looked as tip top as he done earlier in the season.

That team will not be far away from the starting line up, I just hope Neil doesn’t go for 2 up top.

Those are incredible lyrics to a classic.

I have no doubts the Broomloan Road will be singing it en-masse but having this sung by 60000 at the St Johnstone game is surely far too big an ask, is it?

    Youtube links please ;))

  10. Never mind starting, Cha Du Ri has never even featured against Rangers, home or away, in the entire 2 years he’s been here. Anti-Korean Right Back v the huns racism alive and well at Celtic Park.

The Cha will set you free.

  12. huns fc- love the queen but wont pay her on

All good today with the huns and Ticketus, they go on about dignity and then they try and not pay what they owe to anyone, typical stinking huns. I read some time back on RTC that there was some kind of behind the scenes agreement that the huns would be playing at hampden soon, whether that be as there current scummy form or as some new club, can anyone remember this? Also I am looking forward to Sunday and aslong as we match them physically and then play the ball on the deck we’ll run riot, I think big Sammy will play a blinder, i never thought i’d ever say that. Guaranteed that In the first 20 minutes they will clatter our players and everytime It will be a different hun, they’ve done it all season. Watch yourselves out there bhoys and ghirls, before, during and especially after the game they will be hunting for blood, even more If we beat them, I live In Ayr and theres next to no where In the town centre that will be safe, one or two pubs at a push and even then they’ll come to them hunting, they’ve done It before and this Is a whole new ball game, there down and all going well out of existence.

I said the first real thing, obviously there was rumblings beforew that, but the dougie thing spawned the shug e-mail fiasco and here we are.

Thoses days are gone…four words for our chairman at the time that have reverberated round Mount Florida, and they didn’t like what they heard.

Our time is now, we either stick or twist, it has to be twist imo, Celtic control scottish football, the ball is now in our court, the hun are no more, or won’t be in my life tima again, we have to take this oportunity and use it for the betterment of football.

Personally I would rather we stayed in scotland, as long as we are in a fair and honest league, where every team has a chance, if not I want out.

    ……………………………..

Stick this on in the background, good Celtic talk and good choons.

With the pressure off, perhaps Neil will deploy the CDR. I think Lustig will get the nod though with an eye on the future.

Matthews for 4-4-2, The Cha for 4-3-3. Lustige Streiche for post-match japery.
