Tilio is a player: the evidence mounts

215

Marco Tilio scored a spectacular equaliser which secured a draw for Melbourne City away to Sydney this morning.  His first touch, change of pace, drop of the shoulder and finish from 18 yards were all exceptional.

It took 61 minutes for A-League viewers to see this from Marco, which is more than twice as much gametime he was allowed at Celtic before being shipped out on loan.

Since joining St Mirren on loan last month, Hyeokkyu Kwon has been a revelation at the heart of a Scottish Premiership midfield.  Marco’s 27 minutes for Celtic were 27 more than Kwon got before being shipped out.

Both players are Celtic players because they are genuine talents.  The reputation we are earning by not giving them opportunities will only do us damage.

These blogs are becoming increasingly embarrassing. And desperate. Can’t remember a Saturday one before…

Positioning the blame for turning a treble winning team into a shower of 💩 in the space of a summer window.

Turns out the recruitment was excellent after all. Especially the guys that we haven’t been able to judge for ourselves. They are really good.

I will agree with Lawwell though. January is a notoriously difficult month to recruit. It’s just a coincidence that 3 guys the huns managed to bring in have scored against Hertz today. You know, that team that humped us at Parkhead a few weeks back?

Don’t worry though, Paul, Peter, Stivs, Burnley et al. There’s one born every minute and at least they will lap up what you’re selling. 👍

  2. Please don’t anyone suggyiwe want Killie to hurt the cheats.

They actually play herts, nauseatingl Naismith’s team, then McInnes Killie.

Only question is how many the cheats will score against these cheat supporting mgrs.

McInnes and Naismith are both frauds

But, we seem to do well v Aberdeen sometimes.

  3. 10 days into Lent and were at ‘bargaining’

Sadly, the next stage is ‘depression’

How did it come to this?

More importantly, what do we need to do differently?

Utter tosh about players turning it on for St Mirren. Don’t make me type ‘Lewis Morgan’ Damn! I just have.

  4. the long wait is over on

Haven’t seen either of them play much (so that caveats my following comment) but I can’t help feel that our troubles , such as they are (win tomorrow and we remain only two points behind – a position we would have killed to be in many a season over they years, including some when we’ve gone onto to win the league which is comfortably still within our grasp) , can’t be just down to Tilio and Kwon not appearing to cut it and then doing better elsewhere in lower leagues.

Nor do I believe they are a symptomatic of a bigger problem with BR as such. More likely that our scouting system isn’t cutting it overall. Our success in the last few years feel like they have been down singlehandedly to

    Ange’s connections abroad.

Look at Mikey Johnston – I’m not hearing much about how we’ve not spotted his talents as he tears it up at his new club.

He was given many opportunities here by BR and others ( too many in my view) and didn’t cut it.

Some players just do better in other environments – doesn’t mean we missed something.

  5. Don’t worry though, Paul, Peter, Stivs, Burnley et al. There’s one born every minute and at least they will lap up what you’re selling.

are you renewing your season card ?

you are the problem, no solutions, you fund the board, i dont.

  6. There seems to be an all out briefing war between those sympathetic to Lawwell/the Board versus those aligning themselves with Rodgers.

    Paul rarely posts an article on a Saturday but rushes out today (by coincidence after Philmacgholliabain has blogged against the executive) to tell us;

    1) Tilio scored a goal in Australia and ;

    2) Kwon is doing well at St Mirren.

    Big deal.

Separate to that is a growing narrative that a war chest could be available in the summer. Aye right. How many times (generally until

season books are renewed) have we heard that tripe.

Genuine question – you don’t go to the games? Or you don’t pay to go to the games?

I will say that I supported Celtic long before it was a plc. So it’s never been the company structure that commanded my loyalty.

However, you might find Lawwell has miscalculated the ‘market’ for cheap punts, eye-bleeding football and hun domination for the foreseeable. Let’s be honest, his miscalculations are legend.

  8. the long wait is over on

    Mazzy

I hate all the “war chest” bollocks too

We’ve had enough to have a “war chest” for many years.

Key question is who is going to be entrusted to spend our money?

    The current scouting system?

    The current manager?

If neither of those – why are either still here?

  9. We probably will be playing CL qualifiers this summer (imo) and right now, Mark Lawwell is in charge of finding us a new keeper. God have mercy on us. I wouldn’t in the least be surprised to see us starting Bain in goals in a Q3 match.

  10. Separate to that is a growing narrative that a war chest could be available in the summer. Aye right. How many times (generally until

    ————

the only weapon the supporters have is to not renew.

the plc is cash rich, so cash flow is not a problem.

if you are going to renew dont do it at least until deadline day if it means that much.

    —————————

I gave up my season card last summer, I am 58 in a few weeks, and for the first time since i was 4 years old I have not attended a celtic match this season, various reasons for not goingg, but now i am out the habit i am missing it less and less.

i am routinely offered tickets by friends and families even the last huns game, which i did make an effort to get to, but missed the bus because of the snow.

the only power a ticket holder has is to withdraw financial support.

i am really failing to understand why people keep buying if they dont like the organisation (or indeed the football being played).

i am thinking of going to the morton v hearts game just to get a fix.

  13. Weebobbycollins

The England fans know full well it is. Yet they carry on singing it. Even Itoge has commented on it.

  17. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Went out to play earlier then watched some rugby union.

Came home to page 3 of this article.

I take it Sevco won a home game today?

PS – Paul, re this article, I am a little bit with the “so what?” crowd.

The bottom rungs of our summer transfer window ladder were Kwon and Tillo.

They may improve significantly to become Celtic level players.

Meantime though, being good enough to play for St Mirren and Melbourne, is a long way from being good enough to play for us.

No. Not another pound until the Lawwells are out. Celtic tv got cancelled this month and the club shop emails are going straight into my spam folder for the foreseeable.

  21. lets all do the huddle on

Again, is FOS racist or could it be construed racist ?

you have changed your question from the first time you asked it by adding the ‘or construed’ bit.

if you look at the lyrics it cant even be considered remotely racist.

guy sends his army up to scotland to attack some scots, his army gets a skelping, and they go home.

    thats the gist of it.

it doesnt even mention england by name.

it takes the piss out of edward for thinking hes a wide-o and ending up with his tail between his legs.

    thats about it.

now if anyone is twisted enough to ‘construe’ it as racist then i suggest they are the problem

    Fairhill Bhoy

t certainly wasn’t a flounce when BMCUWP left.

He wrote a scathing farewell post and left to start his own blog more to his liking.

    ……….…

Oh, that’s a naked lie. Oh…Oh my God!

If its not a lie then post the evidence….

So what else are you lying about…Dr SFTB?

    Hmmmm….?

Sadly BMCW got red carded for arrogantly assuming that because he organised the day`s oot that he had some imaginary clout on the back of that which then led BMCW to believe that he could curse and swear at whom ever he couldn’t lay a glove on in any set to.

Unfortunately for BMCW he was jousting with yours and his and the rest of the cliques nemesis – KEVJUNGLE.

Kev J combatted within PAUL67`s rulebook and stood by his principles of cage rattling and putting happy clappers noses out of joint with uncomfortable FACt`s.

This proved to be just too much for BMCW who let himself and blog standards down by failing to win an argument against Kev J and with BMCW being so easily got at, sadly for BMCW and the blog he being so precious entitled and full of himself he was incapable of accepting that he was wrong…so resorted to a Hunlike foul mouthed thug and got himself a deserved red card.

And Dr SFTB is rewriting history which dizny suit the image of a clique organizer Hunlike Pretentious bully who thought he could rewrite the rule book to suit his BMCW angle`s and agenda`s. so well done PAUL67 and the MOD for being on the case when the chips were down. Kudos and salutations. 👏️ 👏️ 👏️ 👏️ 🇮🇪️

Thoughts and Prayers for Dr SFTB and his pathetic attempts at rewriting landmark events in the clique diaries…sob sob boo hoo hoo for BMCW. Fkn lol :)

    Ha Ha oot.
