Two significant goals

729

Nir Bitton’s goal was special but two goals last night were more significant.  Leigh Griffiths header for the first belied the player’s height and stature.  His scoring record with his head in recent months has been spectacular, whether darting into space to nick the ball goal-wards, as he did away to Dundee and Dundee United, or when he uses his salmon-leap to get up and stay up.

When he was at Livingston Leigh was the next hot young thing.  For whatever reason his path to the top wasn’t straight, but he’s now first choice striker at Scotland’s top club and making the most of it.

James Forrest’s goal was also full of what we want to see from him.  One-on-one with a defender, with space to run into, he did what he needed to do.  His pace took him past the defender and turned an opportunity into great chance.

Several players are finishing the season strongly.

Broonies first touch for that goal was exquisite. I’m also with you, I hope the Sheepies win today, unlikely now. Champion goals last night anyway.

Unfortunately the issue runs through my family, with Auld Da type 1, my brother and I type 2, so try to control through diet ( unfortunately for me, doesn’t seem to be enough, 8 tablets a day to try and control)

    Now back to football

Horrible disease I have a few sufferers in my family………

brother-in-law had to have a kidney and pancreas transplant due to it and husbands best friend became a live kidney donor for his brother

8 tablets is not easy but better than some alternatives…………keep your chin up

Wee Liam Boyce equalised for County after Scott MacDonald had scored for Motherwell.

Right on his game now after a slow start with County.

    1-1 HT

Draw will suit County much more than Motherwell.

Hottest day of the year so far, 35 and rising, prob hit 38 in the next hour, neighbour told me a month or so back that it’s going to be a really hot summer, he may well be right.

Anyways, saw a bit of the hun fest earlier, shocking standard, in fairness to the minis, they had downed tools, the cheat with the whistle, dearie me, all bodes well for the future for thems, maybes the other clubs will grow a pair, cos we won’t.

Delighted if we win the trophy today, might go oot for a wee bibida.

The penny arcade has dropped, they are dillusional in thinking once the king of thieves gets crowned, all will be back to their walking ways.

Their arrogance is beyond belief, the ones I work with anyway.

Their is no explaining to them that they are fecked…..long may the hunchbacks suffer.

  16. I recall being a 10 year old at Brockville when we won 9 in a row under Mr Stein

just took it for granted as…I thought that it was a given the the ole Sellic won the league every year.

The following year Mr Stein was injured in a car-crash and the hun / animals stopped the 10.
