Two significant goals

729

Nir Bitton’s goal was special but two goals last night were more significant.  Leigh Griffiths header for the first belied the player’s height and stature.  His scoring record with his head in recent months has been spectacular, whether darting into space to nick the ball goal-wards, as he did away to Dundee and Dundee United, or when he uses his salmon-leap to get up and stay up.

When he was at Livingston Leigh was the next hot young thing.  For whatever reason his path to the top wasn’t straight, but he’s now first choice striker at Scotland’s top club and making the most of it.

James Forrest’s goal was also full of what we want to see from him.  One-on-one with a defender, with space to run into, he did what he needed to do.  His pace took him past the defender and turned an opportunity into great chance.

Several players are finishing the season strongly.

I really appreciate (but dont fully understand) all the support from cqn for my efforts in watching our team…………

but as Sanna said its very selfish of me as I get out of it (mostly) much more than I put in

Will take you up on the former Bobby , perhaps not the yard of ale:-))))

although I might try it again before my arms cant do the turning :-)))

foe anyone who hasnt tried a yard of ale competition that was the hardest part for me , its mighty heavy and requires constant turning to get it right

would have just rather downed 3 .33 pints :-)))
