Two significant goals

729

Nir Bitton’s goal was special but two goals last night were more significant.  Leigh Griffiths header for the first belied the player’s height and stature.  His scoring record with his head in recent months has been spectacular, whether darting into space to nick the ball goal-wards, as he did away to Dundee and Dundee United, or when he uses his salmon-leap to get up and stay up.

When he was at Livingston Leigh was the next hot young thing.  For whatever reason his path to the top wasn’t straight, but he’s now first choice striker at Scotland’s top club and making the most of it.

James Forrest’s goal was also full of what we want to see from him.  One-on-one with a defender, with space to run into, he did what he needed to do.  His pace took him past the defender and turned an opportunity into great chance.

Several players are finishing the season strongly.

How inconsiderate of Wills and Kate to have a wean this week! Don’t they realise that there is a general election this week and we’d prefer to listen to prospective MP’s talking shite and telling lies than hearing about a royal bairn?!!!

Never mind it’s good to know that we have another payee of the taxpayers beneficiary fund.

  4. when the huns were on their 9 in a row run at what point did you become nervous?

for me it was round the time when they had won 6 in a row

Im just wondering at what point the penny will drop with sevco

Diabetes? Harsh, mate. I wish you well obviously, and knocking the bevvy on the head-plus one or two other choices,I’m sure-mean that you have it under a certain amount of control.

Have you checked out-and trust me,I’m not trying to be a cod doc or anything-taking cinnamon for it?

Efficacy depends on the type of the illness, but might be worth a look.

But the amazing thing was how well their teachers and helpers kept them all together because directly to their right a group of kids had four free rows which they used as a running track to occasionally stop and watch the game and roar(brilliant I am not knocking it if they remember that visit to CP it will be full of hoopy memories) but made the task of those there with the Kano foundation much more difficult

I have to confess to a wee Finbar Saunders moment reading that, but I know you won’t be offended!

I am so proud of the way my sisters ‘get’ Celtic. I’m so proud of the way you and your daughter do. Forty years ago, women were a rarity at the games.

Why alienate 50% of our potential support?

I’ve never met you AFTER a match. Much less a defeat. But if yer anything like my sisters, aye, you get it.

Celtic have made a move for Kilmarnock’s teenage striker Robbie Muirhead.

Talks are ongoing between the two clubs with just hours to go before the January transfer window shuts.

The 18-year-old forward has scored twice in 22 appearances for the Ayrshire men so far this term.

Muirhead made his debut for the Rugby Park club against St Mirren in May 2013 but has become a first team player under Allan Johnston.

Ronny Deila’s league leaders are on the hunt for new attackers and could seal a deal for the Scotland Under 19 international.

Same, I lived in rutherglen at the time and they all had signs with 6 on them in the buses and cars after the scottish cup final, I remember it well because I thought we will never win the league again, that pain has never left me and that’s why I love the times we are in and celebrate every trophy like its our last, can never understand any supporter who lived in they times are not happy when ‘we only win the league’.

Our pain then is there pain now hh

Willie Hamilton MP, once FAMOUSLY described the child’s great grandfather as the biggest social security scrounger in the country. I believe it was at the time the Duke was complaining about

    Family Allowance or some such.

    the ssb quiz,

5 players have been bought in scottish football of £6m plus. name them.

try the other one, name 30 people with an EBT , and wrongly registered players that helped make their club go bust and win many tainted trophies.

Unfortunately the issue runs through my family, with Auld Da type 1, my brother and I type 2, so try to control through diet ( unfortunately for me, doesn’t seem to be enough, 8 tablets a day to try and control)

    Now back to football
