Watching players on the edge

1018

I like watching a professional perform on the edge. We watched Anthony Stokes do just that at the Cup Final, where despite two superb goals from Gary Hooper, he was clearly head and shoulders above everyone else on the field. This has not always been the way for Anthony, so has too often failed to command a starting place, and live up to the form he promised all those years ago at Falkirk.

Celtic have put a contract in front of him but it will be considerably lighter than the contract Hooper has no intentions of signing. It’s very much up to Anthony now. Deliver and the riches will follow. Don’t bet against him.

Only just catching up on the somewhat demeaning promotion of a football club hiring a new team bus. Every time I see the coach/manager at that club, buses, or to be more precise, Blakey, from On the Buses comes to mind. These people lend themselves to parody so unselfishly.

Coach/Manager

Inspector Blakey

The fascinating part is, only one of the two above was trying to be ridiculous. You enjoy another day of being a Celtic fan.

  1. CorkCelt, I think it we will be a bigger loss to Vic, than he is to us.

    Problem lads,

    On a wee Greek island.

Tomorrow’s game is on Celtic TV or TimTV as I like to call it.

Kick off is 6pm Paradise time, 8pm Georgious time.

Mrs EC67 likes to dine 8pm ish onwards.

I only have my iPad with me, TimTV activated, but no recording facilities.

How do I get to see our bhoys in action and keep Mrs EC67 onside?

Do I not drink all night and wait til Mrs EC67 heads off to bed and have late night, early morning solo swaaly watching the hoops by myself?

Or do I break the habit of a lifetime and not do what my wife tells me and just watch the game live? ( holiday just started, 3 more games to see, and multiple repercussions for me, if I get this wrong).

I know one of you will have the answer.

    That seems like the best way to keep her onside, sacrafices sometimes are the best option, but you know your Mrs better than anyone >}

Thanks for the tops, very much appreciated.

That would seem to be a decent option, the suits need something to take all the flack off themselfs, they won’t want to be seen to be doing anything, if they want to do anything at all that is.

The next problem is uefa will do sfa, they don’t want to open the can of worms.

Catch22, but what you are doing is good, something has to be done to get this corruption out in the open.

  11. Morrisey……,

I’m thinking this single resolution, though not as inquisitive of the boards action/inaction will identify exactly where they stand, by their decision whether to support or not.

So I’ll run through a wee list of well publicised dodgy decisions than ask, is it no time for an independent inquiry by UEFA, as its within our clubs rights to make such a request.

Job done, meeja snookered because we don’t bring the rotten mob into it only governance decisions and a fair request. I like it if I do say so myself :o)

The club won’t ask uefa directly, no chance, they would have done it by now, if they had had any intention, and I reckon the sfa will do everything in their power not to involve uefa.

This is where you have a problem, has Auldheid or Brogan come up with anything ?

You are thinking along the right lines.

IN the first of a new series of exclusive, in-depth and hard-hitting TV interviews, James Traynor speaks to Rangers Manager Ally McCoist and supporters will be able to watch it for free on the official Rangers website tomorrow.

For around 30 minutes, Traynor grills McCoist on a variety of topics and asks the questions Rangers fans want answers to.

In a no holds barred, and sometimes heated sit-down at Murray Park, McCoist covers a variety of topics:

he reveals his vision for the future of Rangers. (your having a laugh).

he outlines his tactical philosophy ????

how he wants the new-look Light Blues to play an exciting, attacking brand of winning football that the fans of this great institution deserve…psml!

how new fitness coach Jim Henry will drill the players for the campaign ahead and much, much more

The manager also discusses the club’s latest signings and then turns the tables on Traynor as the pair engage in a heated debate on what he had previously written about Rangers and how some people still want to have a fly kick at this 141-year old club.????

It is an interview not to be missed and fans worldwide can enjoy it for free.
