There were so many pleasing aspects to yesterday’s performance. Perhaps most importantly, we won a game and scored goals without our primary creative fulcrum, Kris Commons, and without playing our backup fulcrum, Charlie Mulgrew, in a creative position.
Several players will return for Wednesday’s Champions League play-off decider against Helsingborgs but Tony Watt has given Neil Lennon plenty to consider. He was by some magnitude the best player on the field, and was considerably more threatening than his strike partner, Gary Hooper, who has had no genuine competition for the main striker position since arriving at Celtic two years ago. I’ve felt for some time that Gary needs to be pushed. Tony might be the man to do this.
Do you remember six years ago we mocked Paul Le Guen’s Rangers with, “You’re fourth in the SPL…” Poor Sevco are fourth in the fourth tier of Scottish football. Give that guy McCoist another 5% of the shares, he’s absolutely priceless.

There’s a caching mechanism in place to soften the blow of the “refreshes”.
This is harsher when you’re not logged in.
Sadly, sometimes that means there are more comments in the pagination query (that can’t be cached) than there are in the “display” query.

All advances have been firmly rebuffed, further proposals encountered with a more intense vehemency. She seems to have settled for a choc ice and a foot pedicure. I’m loving us bringing through these Highly skilled young players.
Take a bow Celtic, take a very well deserved bow for incredible forward planning.
Look at our backdrop – We are producing Champions League players (hopefully) despite everything else in Scotland being totally SHOCKING.
If Scotland wants to get back to its former status it better realise that Celtic is the only way it will be able to do that, the realisation that Celtic are the greatest thing to happen to Scotland will help.

Neil Lennon done a fantastic job with the youngsters and he gave a few Highly rated BPL teams a bloody nose. It is no coincidence that Neil Lennon is in this situation whilst Celtic adopt this new way of doing things.
Perhaps if people go back and watch the interviews when Neil and John Reid were being interrogated by Hun Press, it may make a lot more sense now. ;)
This Celtic Board know exactly what they are doing and their plan has always been 5 years ahead.
