‘WE DIDN’T TURN UP,’ BROWN

DEJECTED skipper Scott Brown slammed his team for not turning up as Celtic performed abysmally in the dire defeat against Molde.
The Hoops are still without a win after three Europa League ties and are anchored at the foot of Group A with a pitiful two points from a possible nine.
Brown said: “From start to finish, we were not good enough all over the park.
“We managed to get ourselves back in the game at 2-1 and then 30/40 seconds later they run up the park and score yet another goal we are disappointed with.“It’s not really the conditions, they are the same for both teams. We just didn’t turn up and play as well as we should have done on the day.”

A Fernandao goal gave Fenerbahce a 1-0 win over Ajax in Istanbul and their win means Ronny Deila’s strugglers cannot afford any more slip-ups, starting in next month’s return against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men in Glasgow.

Brown, who also toiled to make any sort of impact in Norway, said: “Anything can happen in this group.

“As you’ve seen, Molde have gone away to Fenerbahce and taken three points, as well as taking two points off Ajax.
“I’m sure we can do it as well, especially with two home games coming up.”Brown refused to comment on the incident when Kris Commons showed his disgust at being substituted in the 76th minute.

He added: “I didn’t see what happened, but I’ve got to be honest, it’s a team game so whatever decision the manager makes we’ve got to deal with it.”
