I’m sure Ronny Deila has used the international break to take in as many scouting games as possible, but he’ll be keen to see his players return to Lennoxtown, fit and available for selection.
Adam Matthews spoke to Celtic media on possibly returning for Saturday’s game against Ross County. Having not played since August he’ll be well short of match fitness but his presence is badly needed. We have a must-win Europa League game against Astra next week, with the shape of the team looking so haphazard at the moment it’s crucial we get a benefit of a recognised right back. Adam needs an hour on Saturday.
Now that central mid is looking solid with Brown and Johansen, the addition of Matthews and McGregor will benefit the right, while allowing Mubarak to fit into his more natural position on the left. We might begin looking like a team. Adam also has the engine to play the football Ronny is keen on.
The only question remains how to get our Europa League-eligible strikers looking the part – and that’s not a suggestion to drop John Guidetti on Saturday!

He has shown in flashes what he is capable of but we need more than flashes.
Our midfielders should be dominating.
He would chase paper and covers so much ground for us but there does not seem to be an end product for all that running about.
Maybe he will regain some form?
He is getting the chance to, that’s for sure!

As for Biton….well, it looks like Ronny does not really see a place in his plans for him and Henderson looks even further from those plans.
I have not seen much of Henderson but i really like Biton.
He is not a ball winner but he uses it well when we have it and that means we dont need to go running about trying to get it back!
Definetely agree about Brown….right midfield.
That midfield of ours has been a problem all season.
Get it sorted and it makes things better for the defence and it also gives the forwards a chance their game and understandings going.

Paul67 must wonder why he bothers some days given the abuse he takes. To the casual lurker it seems to consistently be the same guys. Makes me wonder why they bother too.
But anyway, regarding all the proposed teams, I haven’t seen much of Bitton but I can’t remember him playing well in more than a couple of matches when the league was all but won last season. I don’t think I’ve seen Henderson in a first team jersey this season although I thought he looked a great prospect last term. Anyone know if he’s gone off the boil or just doesn’t fit RD’s plans?
Either way I can’t see either of those players walking into the starting line up for the weekend.
I haven’t seen McGregor’s name much, is he still sick/injured? Same goes for Charlie Mulgrew. We definitely miss his delivery from deadballs since Stokes has been taking everything. Sadly I’m never sure where Charlie fits in during open play.
I’d really like to see four able bodied energetic midfielders starting the game against Ross County. We could maybe bring on any one of our twenty or so under achieving wide men once we’ve established ourselves.
Above all else I want to see us play with two strikers in the SPFL!
As an unashamed fan of KC, I’d like to see something like this with the four midfielders being compact as opposed to having two hugging the touchlines and KC receiving the ball nearer the centre circle than the D so that it might actually stick. It worked last season.

Have to say I can understand the criticism Johansen gets, particularly this season ( he did look the part last season, ok from January ?)
But
I really struggle to understand those who then pick our team and replace him with Kayal

I can’t understand why so many are advocating a midfield comprising 4 central midfielders?
We are not being over run in SPL games – that’s a myth.
I’m the Europa League we struggled, granted, but the return of Lustig gives us much more balance.
A simple change – Mulgrew for Commons – would immediately re-in force our midfield and defence.

Not an easy one. The best chance of a ticket is in VIP hospitality , which will be eye wateringly expensive. There is usually a ballot for normal tickets outwith the season book holders. The ballot is open to members first of all, and is always way over subscribed.
The Siente Liure system , members selling their ticket, where you can buy a matchday ticket through the Barca website is also an outside chance. You will probably be able to pick up tickets around the ticket office area in the days prior to the game, but these will be from touts and at many many times face value.
