Sell fans a ticket, you owe them a game of football. Whether the standard or result it good or bad, it’s a relatively easy commitment to keep. That’s what fans get in return for spending money on a ticket.
Sell people shares, you owe them a share certificate. That’s what shareholders get in return for coughing up for shares.
Borrow money from fans and you owe them much more than a game of football or a share certificate. In many instances that money will have come from people who had to forgo things to provide you with the loan. You owe them a duty of care that their loan will be repaid, or converted with their agreement.
It beggars belief that an unsecured loan has been offered to Rangers International by fans group, Rangers First. If, as claimed, the obligations to Sports Direct have been met, the club will have both the ability and the incentive to pass the securities previously held by Sports Direct to the fans group. The club’s IP, training ground and ancillary assets should now be unencumbered, who better to have security over these critical parts of the club than a fans group?
Unless, of course, the obligations to Sports Direct have not been met. Or someone else has their eye on the assets.
The claim that Dave King would match Rangers First’s loan took me by surprise. This was counter to everything I knew and expected of him. His swift denial was more consistent with expectations.
There is an axiom in football: Any club who has enriched a PR individual to the tune of £500k in the last year is making a serious attempt to divert it’s fans attention. Celtic’s PR machine deals with the efficient communication of football information and financial reports. Nothing whatsoever is spend attempting to lead the news agenda. This often leaves us on the receiving end of that agenda, but we have nothing to hide. Which is the way it should be.
Few sights in business or football can be more alarming than when purportedly wealthy people borrow money from poorer people. The warning signs are writ as tall as the Ibrox stands. This time there is no hidden Ticketus deal people can claim they didn’t know about.

“Easter 2016 represents a special time for the people of Ireland and the members of the diaspora overseas. The Centenery of the Easter Rising will be commemorated throughout Ireland and indeed abroad.
Given the unique relationship between Glasgow Celtic Football Club and the island of Ireland a number of posters on the CQN Blog have organised an evening on Saturday the 26th of March 2016, from 9pm until Midnight, at Craobh Chiarán, GAA Club, Parnell Park, Dublin 5.
There will be an entry fee of €10, to cover music, waiting staff etc. Any surplus monies will be donated to the Kano Foundation.
This is a non party political event and the intention is to provide a venue where people can meet during the Commemerations in Dublin, next year and relax among fellow Celts, irrespective of their backgrounds.
We have been touched by the generosity of many in donating their time and expertise to help make the event possible and by the large number of emails from people who intend to travel, many of whom have never visited Ireland before, or who have not visited in years.
Dublin next Easter will be a special place and we would be delighted to welcome as many as possible to our 2016 Dublin Hootenany.

To answer some of your points, Sandra in the kitchen is not a relative but a guid Celtic woman, there are in this part of the world members of the same family who are either Celtic or Sevco supporters some may say they are naive but up here we tend not to carry the baggage of, especially Central Scotland. Hell we used to have an Old Firm Supporters club here, the only problem they ever encountered was when the shared bus going to Cup Finals involving both teams used to get routinely attacked/bottled by both sets of fans. Then when the polis boarded the bus near Hampden and called them crazy teuchters,cos they did,nt know where to park the bus!!! This long ramble was to explain the background to Island football and how it is of no consequence who individual players ar the manager and his assistant support. This is what we should all aspire to although I accept it will be difficult perhaps impossible to achieve all over the country but lets make the effort. Thanks for your patience. Hail Hail Hebcelt

John Collins comments on Rangers don’t surprise me at all. He must be talking to fans in his house or in the boardroom though. No fantasy I know looks forward to a fixed game.
What does surprise me is that he Deila and Kennedy were brought in as development coaches. I never knew that. I thought up to now that they were brought in to win titles and take Celtic as far as possible in Europe.
It would have been helpful to know that before we went down the road.

I doubt if this will go down well at Celtic Park, my e mail this morning to Celtic was along those lines…..was that his opinion, and if it is then he should keep it to himself, if it’s the clubs opinion, then let us know before the season tickets go on sail for next season, as a right good few of us are not on the same hym sheet as the club, personally I need clarity on this, and many others will too I would imagine………. If it gets answered as they normally have in the past, I will post it.

As I said if it’s BS fine, but JC or a Celtic representative should be on the official Celtic web site and letting us know it is BS in no uncertain manner, until the I have to assume, the tool is there that’s what it’s for, use it, don’t leave us assuming and sitting in the dark, with no disrespect but I couldent care what the SFM said, I need official denial ASAP.
