Before you get carried away, let me remind you: Our Premier League record of 25 consecutive wins in season 2003-04 came to an end at home to Motherwell, the game after a memorable European victory over Barcelona. Our 2007 win over European Champions, Milan, was followed by a harrowing game against Gretna at Fir Park, where the soon-to-be-liquidated minnows held the lead until the 87th minute.
The last 10 days have been mentally and physically exhausting for the players: a League Cup quarter-final victory, humbling Newco, then raising the bar further against Anderlecht, all three games away from home. There will be a natural drop-off in endorphins, even the coaches will find it difficult to squeeze determination to climb another summit so soon.
A home game against soft-looking Hibernian is exactly how 57 game unbeaten domestic runs come to an end.
It’s always a bit disconcerting to see the media report a story of discord at Newco, conditioned, as we were, by the blanket of control Sir David Murray shrouded news outlets with while at Oldco. Now news that Brother Pedro has banished Kenny Miller from the Newco first team squad.
Kenny is the innocent party in all of this, apparently. Troubles are the manager’s fault.
You and I both know that Pedro, Kenny and everyone else at Ibrox are woefully under-resourced to compete at the summit of the Scottish Premiership. That’s the only important part of this story, and the answer doesn’t lie on the pitch or in the dug-out on match days. At best, the person responsible for that is watching games poolside in South Africa.
All that campaigning to unseat the Easdales was for this. It’s a Brexit-style self-delusion, with an inevitable outcome.
Celtic FC Foundation, Great Scottish Run
I can’t tell you him much I appreciate the generous support ahead of the Great Scottish Run this Sunday, for the Celtic FC Foundation. As I said yesterday, we are not only about winning trophies, and the Champions League, this club is has deep roots in helping our fellow those in need.
I’ve never made porridge in Malawi, or fed the poor in Haiti, not would I know how to engage with Autistic kids, but you and me can do our bit for those who have the responsibility of delivering help where needed. What I can do is run on Sunday and ask for sponsorship. If you can help, do so at this MyDonate page.
Thank you.

My uncle Danny settled in Middleton. Miggy Mafia biker member. Celtic fan first, Leeds second. He became very good friends with Celtic fanatic, Leeds player Arthur Graham fae Castlemilk. Lovely guy I met a few times in Leeds. Arthur Graham was Celtic daft like me and Danny. Billy Bremner should have played for Celtic. His biggest regret in life.

Used to drink in Peter Lorimer’s pub. He always said that Bremner would have walked over broken glass to play for us.
Did Eddie and Frankie Gray not come from Castlemilk as well?

Now looks like me, Wee BGFC and Mrs BGFC will not get tickets for the game – very sad about that :-(((
However – never mind – we all have good health, and will still be in Munich shouting on the Mighty Hoops, so thankful for what we have !!!!!! (Still have fingers and toes crossed :-) )
Hail Hail to all of us Tims :)))))

DD, I couldnae take the risk with the wee man. I know the Germans are so very cool and respectful of Celtic.
He is doing pushups and all that bodybuilding thing.
I’m gonnae have to let him go.
Prodigy Genesis
PS – if anyone has tickets, please let me know …. ;-)

Met both Eddie and Frank Gray fae Castlemilk too in Leeds. Think Arthur was their wee cousin. All Celtic daft.
Imagine Celtic supporters Joe Jordan, Billy Bremner and Johnny Giles played for their favourite team Celtic, as well as the Castlemilk trio. Big Gordon McQueen was the token hun in that Leeds team. David Harvey was also a Tim.
BGFC
I have one spare ticket for Allianz Arena.
One guy pulled out last night.
DD
Thanks for the offer – afraid I need to stick together with the wife and wean – all-for-one and one-for-all (although Wee BGFC would be tempted :-)) ). So, it is three or none, I’m afraid.
If two others drop out – I am yer man. Paul, etc. have my email address.
The offer is very, very much appreciated.
PS – my band played downstairs in the Radnor a couple of times – cracking place :-)

I knew I had to move when the Biggest ever BMG supporter took his seat 2 seats along from me, he was as quiet as a mouse but was taking photos.
I Believe in Silence
Not on a CL night @ Celtic Park, there were so many in the area. Celtic blew it that night.

Big Mäddes has done us a big turn. I have let him down for the game in Celtic Park for tickets. He is coming to Glasgow for Neerday. Wants 4 tickets for 4 Bayern Munich/Celtic fans for hun game 30 December.
The BMG dudes were very respectful – maximum respect to Every one of them.
Petec
The 5000 or so Celtic supporters who have Bayern Munich end tickets for Allianz Arena, will be respectful to our Bavarian hosts when we beat them.
I want Kiev, Lyon is second best. ;)
