Before you get carried away, let me remind you: Our Premier League record of 25 consecutive wins in season 2003-04 came to an end at home to Motherwell, the game after a memorable European victory over Barcelona. Our 2007 win over European Champions, Milan, was followed by a harrowing game against Gretna at Fir Park, where the soon-to-be-liquidated minnows held the lead until the 87th minute.
The last 10 days have been mentally and physically exhausting for the players: a League Cup quarter-final victory, humbling Newco, then raising the bar further against Anderlecht, all three games away from home. There will be a natural drop-off in endorphins, even the coaches will find it difficult to squeeze determination to climb another summit so soon.
A home game against soft-looking Hibernian is exactly how 57 game unbeaten domestic runs come to an end.
It’s always a bit disconcerting to see the media report a story of discord at Newco, conditioned, as we were, by the blanket of control Sir David Murray shrouded news outlets with while at Oldco. Now news that Brother Pedro has banished Kenny Miller from the Newco first team squad.
Kenny is the innocent party in all of this, apparently. Troubles are the manager’s fault.
You and I both know that Pedro, Kenny and everyone else at Ibrox are woefully under-resourced to compete at the summit of the Scottish Premiership. That’s the only important part of this story, and the answer doesn’t lie on the pitch or in the dug-out on match days. At best, the person responsible for that is watching games poolside in South Africa.
All that campaigning to unseat the Easdales was for this. It’s a Brexit-style self-delusion, with an inevitable outcome.
Celtic FC Foundation, Great Scottish Run
I can’t tell you him much I appreciate the generous support ahead of the Great Scottish Run this Sunday, for the Celtic FC Foundation. As I said yesterday, we are not only about winning trophies, and the Champions League, this club is has deep roots in helping our fellow those in need.
I’ve never made porridge in Malawi, or fed the poor in Haiti, not would I know how to engage with Autistic kids, but you and me can do our bit for those who have the responsibility of delivering help where needed. What I can do is run on Sunday and ask for sponsorship. If you can help, do so at this MyDonate page.
Thank you.

Liams younger brother looks to be getting a chance with the big boys tomorrow.
“Ewan Henderson is expected to be involved in the Celtic squad against Hibs tomorrow”.
The 17-year-old has came on leaps and bounds since the turn of the year and will get his chance with Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong both out injured.

Dreadful news for Bens family and friends.
RIP…..BEN PARKER.
Marspapa,
The Crew coming through, it is Frightening.
Tommy Burns Celtic.
A matter of Time before we Win a European trophy again. Some are Destined.
Kieran Tierney was outrageously good against a top Euro Team. He gave Scottie Sinclair a verbal because he was not in tune. A Young Scot giving it Laldy to an Excellent English player. Most will know by now that Kieran does not make mistakes.
Celtic are rocking.
A bit of music for tonight from a guy who has 2 claims to fame.
Firstly, he has been a member of the same squash club as Mike in Toronto.
A (very poor ) second is that he has sold many millions of records and is one of the greatest folk artists of all time .

Let us remember the one and a half million “British” citizens who died and the one million who fled the reign of terror in Ireland which was to lead to the great hunger, there was no famine, the ports in Ireland were bursting at the seems with food being exported by the English landed gentry and their agents, the Irish were reduced to depending on the potato crop because the corrupt foreign tyranny had dispossessed them of their lands and civil rights and all their annual produce had to go to pay rents to the absentee English and Scottish landlords( yep the very same people who stole the land from its rightful owners) In Irish it is called An Gorta Mor (The great hunger) God sent the potato blight but England sent the famine.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I didn’t write this, but I agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment. The famine was an act of gross negligence at the very least – and maybe even an act of genocide.

I think the writer is very accurate with their assertions, the historian Christine Kinealy writes extensively on the subject,

Depending on your age , do you know the Freels , Flemings or Smiths ?
The film ‘Bobby Sands:66 Days’ is available on BBC2 NI Catch up.
I was in a pub in Partick tonight. Saw the second half of the match fae Hamilton in a mixed support place. The unanimous decision at full time from Celtic fans and huns, was that Pedro must stay. The hun mob going on about him being tough and fighter. The Celtic bhoys saying he is a dud. Pedro must stay long time. :)

I know Flemings and Smiths but not Freels. Might be different Flemings and Smiths from you tho’
Didn’t see Celtic lose the league until I was 10 if that helps.
Not sure I’ll see them lose it again :-)))

KT made it into the 11 CL players of the week , not bad going for a wee Scots boy ;).
With every passing game he grows in stature .
Hope your right about us winning a big cup again ;)

You`re absolutely right about Leigh.
Just watching a replay of the game. He represents the Brendan ethos . Battle to the last minute.
Just hope he curbs ( slightly :-) ) his natural tendency to mix it with the opposition crowd.
He`s liable to miss games . The last thing we want .

Pedro if given Time will get the new Rangers playing football rather than hacking opponents. :))
They will always be 20+ points behind now in the League Howevaaaaah. :D
Kenny (2footedchallenge) Miller is a relic, like all the Real Rangers Men. That ship has sunk, it won’t be seen again.
Celtic will make Scotland competitive again in a footballing sense Internationally.
Delighted Scott and Stuart have slight strains.
