Whyte is still the only bidder and he didn’t even bid

1027

It was theoretically possible someone could have bid for Rangers today but it was always more likely that interim-managers, Duff and Phelps, would get offers that were dependent on a remarkably positive upside.

Sure, if HRMC get their bums handed to them on a plate by the First Tier Tribunal (FTT), Craig Whyte decides to tear up his security on Ibrox and Ticketus forget where they put the contract of sale for the next three years season tickets, even I’d bid for them.  Not much, though, I’m only interested in Waitrose Park out at Milngavie.

There is nothing Duff and Phelps can do about the FTT but wait for the verdict.  It might report in their favour.  If so, it’s game on and they will surely invite offers for sale again, until then, they will have to shuffle paper and look busy.

No one has been able to shift Craig Whyte’s security or offered to buy Ibrox from him, so he is the only real bidder for Rangers and I don’t think he even bid today.  Our old friend Game Theory would have us busy planning for a scenario when he exercises his power in this game.  Ostracising him might encourage him to walk away, or it might force him to dig his heels in.

Game Theory would also suggest we don’t play poker when we know the other guy has four aces, they don’t often walk away.

Pay the man or find a way of telling yourself he’s not that bad after all.

Saw your post recently about having a pint in the Courtyard in Hamilton.

Did I hear correctly on the grapevine it has a new owner? Another Shotts man?

Isnt it about time you changed the Header “Celtic News, not lazy journalism” ?

The media in Scotland is not lazy, neither could it be descibed in any way as journalism. It is deliberately and consciously anti-Irish, anti-Catholic and anti-Celtic. It makes a choice to lie and to hide the truth, as is pointed out on here on a daily basis. The problem is certainly not one of laziness.

I’m fed up with the hun situation, like many Tims, but my point was that if you come onto a blog then you have as much opportunity as anyone to set the agenda by what you post.

    Try it…

  12. If they have tried to buy another club then what will stop them trying again, st mirren obviously the first option but Partick thistle beware ! lol !

Clyde reporting that Gary Withy(probably wrong spelling) Whytes former secretary at Ibrox, has approached Stuart Gilmour of St Mirren with a view to buying out the club, He claimed to be representing two individuals. this approach yesterday was the second time he has made the offer.

If he is representing Whyte which seems likely, it confirms that Whyte definately has security over the assets at Ibrox and has is the only game in town, the bids are all nonesense unless they bid to pay out whyte for his assets.

  18. I hate giving Sky money…and I don’t have a lot…so I get it on an ad hoc monthly basis when there are going to be a lot of games, either with The Bhoys,or related to them, cos where I live there is little or no chance of seeing a game, and sometimes the pictures on the radio just don’t cut it,and pc streams are hit & miss.

I’m no justifying anything….when there is no choice,it’s difficult to make a choice.

Celtic have been a life-long love for me,a way of thought too. So sometimes I just HAVE to see them play live, even if it’s only on a screen. So Sky get a few pennies from me.

When I can get to Parkhead it’s akin to pilgrimage.

Anyway,I’ll shut up now! All the best to all of you!

  19. Can Elbows be ‘reviewed’ for his assault on McKay- thingmy? Or does his yellow card mean it’s been ‘dealt’ with.

    Strange booking.

Still, I’d rather he was in the team next week where he will meet some real hard men, younger fellows, fitter, better, tougher – ones who won’t pretend to roll around in agony when they have emptied him. I am not one for advocating violence but I would not be upset if three or four of our players took a yellow card for this guy. Animal.

By the way, the last half hour of that Hun game I saw a team with only two or three prepared to look for the ball or try and hold it when they had it. They were playing one touch – fear football.

If our young mhen keep focussed we are going to horse them.

He has painted himself in a corner hasn’t he? Damned now if he does, damned if he doesn’t.

Anyone any ideas what the orcs are saying about their football team? I suspect if they were not in administration they would be demanding Ally’s head. The football seems irrelevant to them now.

Saw a few rangers tops at a St Pats parade I was at. Glad they felt safe enough to attend, but I think it speaks volumes about where they are at mentally just now. An extremely provocative act. I fear a violent backlash. Be careful out there.

Great start to the sporting weekend. That’s one of the few times I’ve watched a full match and what a disgusting songbook from their support.

Apart from the usual loyalist garbage, Jock Stein was abused, Andy Walker’s wife was chanted about, the Famine song reappeared, Bobby Sands was repeatedly chanted about and we’re all Fenian B’s.

    I’m an unrepentant one!

“We don’t need no stinkin’ Rangers!” It would certainly clean up the Scottish game.

    ————————————————————–

This is a serious prediction. By the end of this weekend or next or both we will have even more very serious reason to be looking forward to their death, the stripping of their titles and more reason to keep pursuing them vigorously until every vestige of the hate they spawn is wiped off the face of this planet. Vile club, vile following.

Sorry for the downer. Last negative post from me today.

Gonnae enjoy the rugby, a plate of Irish stew a bottle of stout and few ‘Goldies’ and then look forward to celebrating Celtic with no reference to them.

Happy St Patrick’s Day. Up the Celts (with a Hard and soft ‘C’)

Only in Scotland would we get this St Mirren buyout story appearing as a small issue for the media. Radio Scotland talked about it for all of 4 mins. Imagine one of our senior officials was emialing another SPL club with regards to buying them.
