Whyte is still the only bidder and he didn’t even bid

1027

It was theoretically possible someone could have bid for Rangers today but it was always more likely that interim-managers, Duff and Phelps, would get offers that were dependent on a remarkably positive upside.

Sure, if HRMC get their bums handed to them on a plate by the First Tier Tribunal (FTT), Craig Whyte decides to tear up his security on Ibrox and Ticketus forget where they put the contract of sale for the next three years season tickets, even I’d bid for them.  Not much, though, I’m only interested in Waitrose Park out at Milngavie.

There is nothing Duff and Phelps can do about the FTT but wait for the verdict.  It might report in their favour.  If so, it’s game on and they will surely invite offers for sale again, until then, they will have to shuffle paper and look busy.

No one has been able to shift Craig Whyte’s security or offered to buy Ibrox from him, so he is the only real bidder for Rangers and I don’t think he even bid today.  Our old friend Game Theory would have us busy planning for a scenario when he exercises his power in this game.  Ostracising him might encourage him to walk away, or it might force him to dig his heels in.

Game Theory would also suggest we don’t play poker when we know the other guy has four aces, they don’t often walk away.

Pay the man or find a way of telling yourself he’s not that bad after all.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all CQN junkies who, like me, just can’t get enough!!

Happy birthday to big (6ft.) midfielder Rasmus Elm from Sweden, who is 24 today, and has scored 10 goals in 15 this season for AZ Alkmaar (currently top of the Dutch Eredivisie). According to Wiki, “the former coach of the Swedish national team Lars Lagerbäck, said that Elm is the biggest talent Sweden has produced since Zlatan Ibrahimovic”.

    Good Evening,

I am bored shitless hearing about Rangers.

totally agree……the whole thing is now verging on the clinically insane.

any other self-respecting business would’ve thrown in the towel by now & gone back to basics and restructured, with the knowledge of lessons learned,in a better way. No…we have to have this endless drip feed of moronic banality.

Initially it was stunning, but that lot have zero humility or remorse.

Only more psychotic ravings & dark mutterings.

Now they, and the whole pathetic cabal surrounding them, have become tatty and boring.

That is the last I am going to say about them. I await their final curtain.

Your friend and mine Philvestreturns once summed it up best in my opinion:

Remember things like the bombs, bullets, and death threats against Neil Lennon.

Their song, scarves, banners, and graffiti about Jock Stein.

The Heart will Feel Free like Morrissey is saying.

It is totally embarressing for any Hun on the street to even defend them now. We are left with paid people not knowing when to stop the jibber jabber.

    The game is over.

  9. Saint Stivs,

Thank You for this Beautiful and Strong music.

The fight definitely goes on because there is still plenty work to be done and it is easy to get complacent.

  10. Evening all… just a quick post and I’m away to my bed.

I can’t see any mention of Chelsea’s victory over Man Utd at Old Trafford in the 1st leg of the FA Youth (U18) Cup semi final last night. The Chelsea no.9 was a star performer, netting the winner for the blues, and captured beautifully mid-somersault as he celebrated (see the photo towards the bottom of the match report, below).

The star in question?… none other than Islam Feruz.

Islam Feruz, hopefully is focused and will become a star courtesy of the Legendary Thomas Burns.

Sounds like a lot of childish FF nonsense is put out there to engender hate.

    Celtic fans don’t do hate.
