A couple of years ago, you would have an ominous feeling right now, but with Brendan, there’s a belief that we will be prepared in Trondheim. We need to put the ball in the net. Even if we concede first, subsequently putting the ball in the net resolves a lot of issues.
My expectation is that we saw the best of Rosenborg last night. Celtic were clearly well below their best. When the teams meet again Celtic will be one week fitter, and I expect personnel changes.
For so long we missed the kind of football that knots your stomach. This one is hugely important. Enjoy the tension!

As I said if anyone within our club staff player management is compromised go now, if we read Paul’s leader, the SPFL decision was known and challenges will take place over the next few months, we cannot carry anyone who has any baggage that can be used for blackmail. I have no idea and I would hope this is not the case.

I think I posted this idea back in March, or if I didny, I meant to.
If we were not so wrapped up in achieving the treble last season, we could have stood down our first team players, as soon as the league was secured.
They could have got a holiday with the family, or significant other, had a few pints, eaten a few carry outs, had a round of golf, or whatever floated their boats.
Fringe and youth players could then get some valuable on pitch time. Not worthless friendly’s or exhibition games, but real competitive games in the remaining league games and Scottish Cup ties.
The first team squad could then return to pre-season training early enough to properly prepare for the early CL Qualifiers.
Above plan obviously depends on winning the league early, but if we are in that situation again at the tail end of next season, then why not.
The second string might even win the Cup. What a GIRFUY to the Stickies and their SFA buddies that would be :-)
But if not, I think sacrificing Scottish Cup “glory” is worth it, if it smoothes our path into the group stages the following season.

Just having a look at the UCL results from the first leg ties, Slavia Prague whom we played a few weeks back won 1-0 at home to BATE, a good result. We bossed Slavia over there. I’m hoping we put in a similar performance next week. If Griff is back it will give everyone a big lift. Another factor to consider is how we struggled (i know) at home at times last season but handed out some hammering’s on the road. At home, 1-0 and 1-1 with Thistle, 1-1 Huns, 1-0 & 2-0 Hamilton, 2-0 Hearts. All of those teams were beaten heavily on their own turf. We are geared up to play away.
My final thought tonight. I think Ross Murdoch has a real World Championship medal chance tomorrow teatime. Starting third fastest, lane 3, do your best. You’ve some Celts wishing you well.
Ask yourselves. If you are an office bearer, and there are suggestions of impropriety, if everything was above board and beyond reproach, wouldn’t you actually welcome any investigation? In fact wouldn’t you encourage it?
I certainly would. Get everything out there to dispel any suggestions of wrongdoing.
