WIZARDS OF OZ: ONE IN, ONE OUT

CELTIC have just agreed a three-year deal with an Aussie youngster who has yet to make a first-team appearance.

The Hoops have swooped for 16-year-old striker Stefan Nikolic, who is on the books at Western Sydney Wanderers, and he is poised to jet to Glasgow once travel restrictions are eased in the current coronavirus pandemic.

The teenager – described as an “out-and-out goalscorer” by Wanderers academy chief Ian Crook – has netted an amazing 36 goals in 25 games in his first year at the youths.

Nikolic, who shares the same management company as Tom Rogic, was first linked with the champions 15 months ago and they have now agreed a compensation fee with the Aussie outfit to bring him to Scotland.

Ironically, he may arrive just as his compatriot Daniel Arzani is leaving. The injury-jinxed Australian World Cup winger will be due to return to Manchester City in the summer when his two-year deal expires.
