Not really worried about EL. We were never winning it. I am worried about our loss of form this season. We are nowhere near last year. Even allowing for injuries, key guys like Moussa and Sinclair have dropped off hugely. I can only think of a few really good performances – Astana at home, Pittodrie, Brussels, last week. It’s largely been meh, with lots of possession, but decreasing threat as the season has worn on. Teams have learnt how to manage us and we need to find a way to regain our verve and element of surprise. We’re closer to Ronny’s level of performance than Brendan’s from last year. A lot of teams have kept clean sheets against us recently and that needs to stop – Anderlecht, Hertz, St J, Killie and now Zenit. I keep waiting for us to go on a run of form, but I’m now adjusting to this really being it. I reached the same point with Ronny’s team. Get the league won and reboot for next season.

I made a comment about KT leaving us during the first half which caused some consternation, let me explain,
Andy Robertson of Liverpool, i follow him on social media and I’ve been watching their games over the last few months. He’s been phenomenal and is becoming a big fans favourite. I watch him raid up the left hand side, driving forward, slinging wonderful crosses into the box and playing in a team thats fluid and going places. IMO he’s not as good as KT but he’s at a level where he’s improving, learning and crucially, fulfilling his potential.
I watch KT for us, he has so much drive and determination. On Sunday it felt like there was a gaping hole in the team in his absence. I think he could play for any team he chose, he’s that good. Maybe he would need a wee bit more coaching at a higher level but nothing major. I watch him play for us, so many of his teammates are so passive, there is nobody to cross to, when he looks up when he hits the byline the movement is poor. The system is hurting him, he passes back instinctively when he doesn’t need to. he doesn’t the work of three men at times, it’s a wonder he isn’t burnt out. During the recent Thistle game, they went one up, our players headed back to centre, heads down to a man, he was roaring at them to get going, it was true leadership.
Do i want to see KT leave us, hell no. He’s too honest and humble to ask if we’re holding him back. I fear we are.
You could well be right, if you can point me in the direction of a mineshafter slagging, dissing, or generally having a dig at a NAMED happy clapper for their beliefs, posts tonight, I would be most grateful, as I have yet to see one.
I could point you in the direction of a few the other way :-)
Didn’t see 1 minute of tonight’s game, listened too it on radio whilst driving back up road from South
Sounded a really dissapointing performance – in my view from witnessing game last week, Zenit did not look a team, we should not be able to beat over a 2 game period, confidence last week, and we could have won by more.
But
We have been really inconsistent this season, no idea why we appear to have lost confidence in moving forward ?
We do, and need to recognise, have a lot of really young and relatively inexperienced players in our team, Keiran, Kristoff, Kouassi, Olivier, Charly, Moussa, etc, so may explain some inconsistency ?
What I will also say, we all need to get behind the team, and support our drive to a double treble if possible

just finished watching a recording of the game. Away game against an expensive team in a big full stadium, I thought we did ok. They made fewer mistakes than us over two games which is no surprise when you have a young cheaply assembled defence and Ddf in goal who is a level below the rest of the team and at least a goal down over two games against a good team.
The commentator on bt was a wink, but between Sutton, Bbj and Stubbs there are a list as long as your arm of much worse away euro performances
I thought Zenit played an Italian style game, happy to let us have the ball, defended well in numbers, were cynical when they needed to be and were decent on the break, to be expected under Mancini, we gifted them two goals of a start and that was never going to be overcome:((
Mancini adjusted his tactics to nullify us and did it well, again to be expected he’s a good coach and has been a round good teams all his life.
