Well hes better than De Vries, but is that saying much?!
I’m sure the CQN scouting department will recommend a new goalkeeper in the fullness of time from their very short list.

It’s at times like this that you realise the attraction to the bean counters of The Old Firm concept.
It helps sustain interest in what would otherwise be a much more difficult sell.

Ernie,
Sad but true.
It’s a crying shame as no domestic match ( bar none ) can give me the excitement, the thrill and the anticipation of a match like the Zenit home game.
No add ones, just sheer Celtic fevour.
Our ambitions must lie in Europe, unless we continually want to be known as the ” Old Firm”

Great tweet from FC Zenit praising the Celtic fans.
Again the fans setting the standards. Pity the team didn’t perform to the same standards.
Hail, hail.

Think we have become very predictable in our play.this makes it very easy for teams to defend against us.we lack the killer pass.we need rogic back in team asap.need to toughen up a bit too.cheers

I genuinely believe that Zenit we’re little or no better than last week, but we were really poor in so many aspects of the game. I am no internet manager but we need to take a more pragmatic approach to games both at home and in Europe. I feel that we have become somewhat predictable in our style of play. We are not hard to play against. Hopefully over the next few weeks we will pick up and injured players will return. We need to stamp our authority on the game at home and have a plan B which works. I don’t think that it’s too much to ask of the players and management. Hopefully Aberdeen get the backlash.
Wasn’t blanking you mate, the fatigue of having the in laws finally caught up with me!
It seemed to me that esp. ON had nowhere to go with the ball and often recycled it through the centre circle, this is possession football, the alternative to that is humping it into the box???
The long diagonal and the ball over the top should be in our repertoire, I saw Strasbourg use it to decent effect against PSG last week but there centre half plays like a middy when he stepped into the game with the ball so unless we’re looking at Jozo doing that I’m not quite sure who’s hitting those passes???
Brendan like most modern coaches doesn’t want his players to punt the ball so that it comes straight back at you and I think we would agree that’s right but our possession and lack of a cutting edge this season is down to several things I reckon : second season and all the other managers have had time to readjust how they play against us, from the high press against us or kicking punching and pulling us off the park a la shit johnstone and a stunning amount of injuries.
I’m not sure we’ve fielded our preferred first 11 this season and to be honest our reserves haven’t covered themselves with glory.
New blood needed in the team and the moving on of anyone not fully committed to the cause.
On the subject of KT which few broach on here, I love watching him rampage forward and he was at his best with Scott Sinclair linking up with him, so Scott’s dip in form has affected him too I guess but he needs to work on his defending and I think BR has identified that too and perhaps that’s why we see less of him rampaging.
EK looks a very decent prospect but as we saw last night he’s a hothead that could cost us dearly in bigger games, that’s the manager’s job.
Our midfield this season hasn’t worked anywhere as effectively as last seasons, that where injuries come in, the loss of Rogic, Roberts and Armstrong has left us very light in the creativity department, may they all soon return for the run in and next years qualifiers.
I think we need a striker for different reasons but one who can work his socks off especially in away games like last night.
In work the other day and a deployment didn’t go very well due to engineering and poor testing.
Manager went down to the call centre and called the business customers affected by outage and system downtime.
His first question,
Who would you put on the list of developers and testers to improve our service to you?
Do you think they’ll come work for us?
Do they like Loch Lomond?
Do they like yellow with pink Polk-a-dots?
He now has a list with Bob on it too.
Who needs HR and recruitment?

Good morning all, still sore over last night but just for a bit of perspective, I spoke to MyMateMick in Australia or as CQN have dubbed him OUR MATE MICK yesterday morning.
just 2 weeks after the welding accident that engulfed him in a ball of flames and left him with 35% burns.
He is making small improvements all the time but is still at the very early stages of a long road to recovery.
He got to see his kids last weekend for the 1st time since the accident and thankfully, his face didn’t take the full force of the burns, so he wasn’t too scary looking for his 6 year old and 4 year old.
He and his wife Caroline are extremely grateful & humbled by the support they are receiving from both ends of the globe and I am asking anyone who can help in any way, to continue to do so as he is self employed, so the family will have no income at all for the forseeable future.
We are trying to help them keep a roof over their heads and everything else that goes with raising a family, while he concentrates on getting back to some form of health and normality.
Anybody around Dublin, Meath, Westmeath, Kidare, Louth areas are invited to an afternoon tea family fun day fundraising extravagance, on Sunday in Navan.
Massive thanks again to CQN and particularly Celticrollercoaster for promoting the appeal and spreading the word.

30 million plus in Bank but no inclination to spend on players (maybe some prospects at very low outlay) is the reason why we have such as DDV as our first choice keeper right now.
What happened to the revolving door in January ? Or was that referring to Lewis Morgan in and then back out ?
Lawwell and co should be held to account on their policies and should be forced to reduce season ticket prices (30%) and champions league prices (£25) .if they will not use available money to support the team on the park then give it back to the fans who always give everything.

Obviously disappointed with the result/performance but the show goes on.
Theres the Moonbam trumpet with his very short list, wants to do the CEO job when he cant do the scouting job, about to flounce off from Paradise in a taxi again, and probably come back with his tail between his legs – just like the last time!
PS. he clearly hasn’t learnt that sarcasm is widely regarded as the lowest form of wit. Evidently the lack of reaction to most of his posts goes pretty much unnoticed on his part! Mind you if it ever dawns on him his post count will pretty much see an immediate 90% reduction.
