And re: the goalkeeper.
Not sure if Bain is great, good or average – but Dorus isn’t as good as any of those three options, so I expect Bain to be in goals on Sunday, and for this to have be Dorus’ last game for us.

Ironically our games on 11th and 18th of March have been scheduled for Sunday’s on the off chance we nudged through into the next round.
Just listened to BR on BBC radio, he said we were too negative in the first half and gave away poor goals throughout,no penetration was another comment, I don’t know where the style has gone this year, probably due to injuries at least i am hoping that what it is,just get this league won ASAP with a team who will dig in for us when needed not stand off and allow easy headers in the box. Scott McDonald also said tonight the surface at Aberdeen is poor they played there in the Cup two weeks ago, and not suited to pass pass pass football, get two forwards on the park, 5 in the middle and 3 at the back and grind from now till the league is secured.

No I dont post often.Just expressing my opinion about Celtic players heading the ball out of defence and it seems to end up at an opposition player almost every time.

I hope Brendan is ruthless in the summer. Too many of our team are simply not good enough to be playing at the level we need.

Had we a full strength team available tonight, who knows.
Would we have won? I honestly don’t know. But I do know that a fit paddy and Griff would have given them more problems at the back than any of tonight’s lot did. I also know that Gordon would not have lost that second sickening goal.
For all you supporters who were embarrassed tonight…………..Celtic don’t deserve you!
In my opinion you should support another club who can give you all that you wish!

You’d hope Compper is better than what we’ve got, time will tell.
Musonda and Edouard are there to see if they can capable of replacing Roberts and Dembélé when they leave in the summer.
Hendry and Morgan are no risk signings, young and Scottish with potential.
Bain is to cover Gordon’s injury, don’t think that was a planned signing, just a reaction to the situation.
Compper was the only signing in January that was to strengthen the first team now, and even then he was ineligible for Europe.
The defence has been neglected since BR arrived, it has been shown in Europe this season that this is where we need to spend money and upgrade. We have good young defenders but no old head guiding them. If only Ivanovic was wearing the hoops tonight!
We need a keeper, badly. We need a right back, badly. We need another experienced centre half (Jozo and Dedryck will be off in the summer IMO), badly. We also need more drive from midfield, someone who will battle and get stuck in, then drive forward with it. That’s what’s been lacking domestically this season, too easily bullied.

Celtic are apparently screening all potential suitors to make sure that Lewis picks the right one ahead of playing for Celtic.
So everything is great.

Paul doesn’t need to talk about any perceived problems at Celtic, he’s got you for that. And you are Level 5 esque in the zeal with which you do it ;-)
Incidentally mosunda is a complete waste of money. Nowhere near ready to play senior football (even in Scotland) but it does appear we have agreed he will play at least once in every game. Bringing him on tonight was a joke.
Celtic are the Harlem globetrotters of football (only not that good).
Heaven help Lewis Morgan when he arrives at Celtic Park, Neganon can’t stop talking about him and he hasn’t kicked a ball for us yet. He must have some ability to inspire such attention already. I worry for the young man.

Exactly, March 1980 to February 2002 no post Xmas European football. And that was in the days when the financial gulf between the bigger nations and minnow nations wasn’t nearly as large as now.
The really annoying thing about this defeat is that we have all seen it at least 15 times before.
Start tentatively. Lose silly goal. Give other team confidence. Flail about like we’ve never played together before. Lose another soft goal. Opponents cannae believe their luck. Continue to play tenatatively, create nothing, and lose a third, just to rub salt in the wounds.
Strachan, Lenny, MON, Ronny – all had nights like this. What is it about our ongoing mentality that we seem incapable of digging a result out away from home? The only 2 decent away performances I can remember recently were Rosenberg and Anderlecht (Astana was a mess).
And whatever happens this season there needs to be some kind of inquest into our fitness. Dembele, Griff, Armstrong, Boyatta, Jozo, Paddy, Rogic, Ralston, Gordon, Comper… all out for significant periods of time.
WTF is going on? Bad luck?
In the coming seasons, the SPFL looks like becoming a contest about which team can sign the best loanees and gel them into a team.
