It’s down to the players tonight, Ronny’s system ain’t that hard to grasp, different from what they were used to under Lenny, but FFS, they are professional players, some no the brightest buttons on in the box, but dearie me, if they canny grasp 4-2-3-1, they really need to think about a change of career.

Plenty of bhoys desperately wanting our manager to fail, quite sad, all want the gain without the pain.
I know another club who have that kinda supporters.

Tonev hasn’t shown anything in games to merit inclusion over McGregor, astonishing that any Celtic fan would want Tonev in ahead of an academy player that’s been our 3rd best player this year after VVD and Gordon. I’m assuming there is an injury, since he doesn’t make the bench. Can only hope Tonev has been impressing in training.
Fed up saying Stokes and Commons together doesn’t work, they both want to come short and take up the same spaces, neither makes runs in behind. Would much rather have Griffiths with one of them. If it isn’t working make the change at half time.
Little less confident than I was before I heard the team, dreadful luck with injuries so far this season, but fingers crossed we step it up tonight. Said 4 – 2 earlier, revise that to 2-1.

I assume scepovic & mcgregor injured. Big game for Tonev tonight, he’s shown nothing so far. Hopefully a decent crowd at the match
OK, the obvious good points –
Gordon in goal.
A potentially great attacking left-hand side in Izaguirre & Wakaso – bags of pace + a goal-scoring threat.
A decent defence in Denayer & Van Dijk and a tried & tested partnership of Commons and Stokes up front.
On the flip side – Tonev hasn’t done much to merit a place, Brown & Johansen are unreliable together, and Commons & Stokes get frustrated sometimes in 4-2-3-1.
On balance, far from my preferred side, but still early days.
Is Scepovic injured, I would agree he doesn’t merit a start if not,
not done much so far although early days,hope he comes good and I expect he will,

No McGregor. Again an interesting exclusion. I’m assuming Tonev and Wakaso wide with stokes up front and commons behind him.
Actually like Ronnys description of the wings as the ‘sides’.
McGregor merited a rest as he wasn’t providing any protection to Efe. I’d like to see Wakaso and Efe on the same ‘side’.

Not confident with this game at all.
Hoping for a good exciting game tonight, also want to see at least a bit of what it is that Ronny is trying to bring to the team, re formation and tatics, tempo etc.
Will accept whatever is on show and still feel it’s way to early to judge RD just yet.

God be with the days when Celtic Park was a fortress on European nights, only team who could win there were Barcelona, the rest & the best came and they failed, now we’re worried sick by Zagreb.
