Crossing with the exception of Tierney is mince in this team.
He crosses early and with pace like the fearless youth he is.Hope it’s not coached out of him.
A major worry as it seems our only method of creating chances.
Hard to say what is worse .our poor crossing or lack of movement in the final third?
Is our crossing made to look worse due to the fact that only our opponents seem to attack the ball in this area while we wait?
Are the players themselves as baffled by the coaching system as the fans?
Again the centre of midfield created nothing.
This area is our problem.
It was noticeable when Allen came on how much he looked around for movement and space to pass into but our static players provided zero.
Put him centre and see if he can add a creative element to this stalled area.
Either the system needs revised or the players remit changes.
We are not the sum of our parts and the doubts about the coaches remain.

.All credit to EK. They deserved their lap of honour at the end. Their CH Russell was impressive and worked his socks off to keep the score down. Praise also for the goal keeper. He did his Dad proud.
Having said all of that, this was a poor performance from Celtic. Even the goals were scrambled affairs, although Griff’s overhead kick was worthy of a goal.
Positives: Sviatchenko is a find; Tierney is very impressive(let’s hope he does not catch the Celtic disease of only making the safe passes)’ ; Ambrose was good in the first half. CKR may be a useful addition, although it is too early to say.
Negatives:There are still too many players that flatter to deceive(GMS, JF) Why can’t SA and RC get a chance to show their paces?
The major problem is the predictability of the Celtic attack. It is easy to defend against it. EK provided the latest example. Celtic usually attack down the wings, either by the wingers or the full backs. All the opposition has to do is make sure there are three players between the attacker and the box. The attacker is forced wide and his cross is either erratic or blocked. The other option for the attacker is to try to sand dance through the three defenders which is very difficult. Playing two wingers in the front three or four creates this problem. Today we had lots of the ball but created very few chances.
IMHO, if we must attack down the wings, the winger and full back need to play one or the other into the box behind the defending three. It rarely happens. Does it get coached?
I saw nothing today to dispel the feeling of gloom that I have about this team. You can call me disloyal if you like but what’s the point in pretending that things are improving.

Did not enjoy the game at all. I had assumed given the amount of ‘flack’ that both the manager and team have been subjected to over the past couple of weeks that we would have came out and steam rolled EK but we didn’t. Given the footballing chasm that, should, exists between Celtic and EK I was disappointed to see a Celtic team fielded with an apparent lack of purpose. Lethargic and wasteful come to mind. I still await the high tempo pressing game we were promised even against vastly inferior opposition. Never the less well done to EK for battling and trying for the 90 mins. I do sympathise with Ronnie it can’t be much fun knowing that regardless of what you do that it is patently obvious that you are almost certainly going to lose your job within the next few months, if not sooner.

That there is no reaction from this team. No spirit and no fight says it all really.

It’s perfectly clear we are a shambles and we are rapidly getting worse.

They have presided over the wasted opportunity to take us out of sight of the opposition I’m Scotland. Wasted on the alter of the failed Moneyball concept and all cos they want to cream of a bit of money.
Now we are left with a shambolic team and management team. A board who’s only public pronouncements are to attack the Celtic support. The schism between board and team and support is Grand Canyon like.
Meanwhile the board are salivating at the prospect of bigotry returning while colluding with the corruption.
