    When you think that this team have been beaten twice and we are playing an amateur team that was a disgusting performance.

     

     

    No fight. No heart and little effort.

     

     

    The team are clearly not fit (what happenned to all that fitness stuff Ronny). And we are now seeing the signs of them enjoying their riches while they should be concentrating on their football.

     

     

    We are an absolute shambles.

    A hard game from which to draw any overall conclusions but I’m increasingly concerned we’re just 11 players sent out there with no real game plan or , worse still, motivation to play to a win.

     

     

    If somethings not working we just seem to keep doing it in the hope we’ll get it right this time instead of changing it around – perfect examples – Efe crossing terribly and he still gets the ball and our hopeless failure to convert from corners ( albeit we did at one today).

     

     

    In a desperate attempt to find something positive lets just say at least that distraction is out of the way and we can concentrate on getting our play to the level it should be.

     

     

    If RD has any hope of saving his job he has to get this team playing. Even if we win the league / double unless there’s a real upturn in performance levels he’s goosed.

    I’m now thinking the superabundance of players has created a selection by lottery mentality. Griffiths knows he’s in and looks to have purpose. The others are playing in total apathy or fear.

     

     

    Not sure who our best 11 is.

     

     

    Aberdeen have a pretty fixed 13 or so most of whom have started in their position on a regular basis for 2 or 3 seasons. In short they have formed a team. We are a group of talented but disconnected players.

     

     

    Today should have been a total lesson for EK. The only thing they’ve learned is that almost any team could defend against Celtic and that without Griffiths they are impotent.

    Finding it very difficult to pay heed to some of the posts on here.This was nothing more than a training session for us.We got game time for Broony,Shivatchenko,Mulgrew,Richards,and I am sure RD will be delighted we came through with no injuries,especially on the surface.

     

    The hysterical commentary was probably the worst I have ever heard.Something resembling a pass back was all EK managed to muster in 90 minutes,yet to listen to these clowns,you would have thought it was a close match.I thought Mulgrew had a very good comeback today after 6 months out.His left peg was working like a dream.The only downer for me today was the shocking performance of Efe,in the attacking role.Crosses,overhit,underhit,sclaffed a couple.All after some lovely build up work.Again not happy with RDs selection.Today would have been a wonderful chance to introduce Roberts,and give Allan 90 minutes.A mystery to me,especially as Forrest looks totally disinterested.Great comeback by the Hibees today.

     

    The comment from Mc Lean at the end”Really,EK have won today”makes me really glad I dont watch the BBC Scotland at all.

    An excellent performance from East Kilbride, but one again made possible by our pedestrian and slow witted play.

     

     

    Ordinarily, the plan would be to run the legs off the amatuers in the first thirty and destroy them in the second half when they are cramping and exausted. Not one EK player looked out on their feet. That was far from a professional performance by Celtic.

     

     

    General thoughts – Leigh Griffiths is a real player. I’ve been slow to be convinced, but he’s the real deal.

     

    Efe on the other hand is everything Leigh isn’t. He’s an Anton Rogan without the lovable charm.

     

    If I saw right, Leigh blanking John Collins isn’t a good portent.

     

    I’m now seriously worried about the league.

     

     

    A very poor show. People paid good money to watch that. If Celtic were sent out with the intention of doing the least possible, why should the fans support that? Of course I don’t think that’s what happened. I just think we’re aimless and directionless.

    Taking into account our last 3 peformances I really hope this is just a ‘bad patch’ we are going thru. Because if thats how we are going to peform for the rest of the season we wont win anything. OK thats me being pessimistic, being optimistic our form has to pick up soon – hopefully whilst we are still top of the league. But lets be honest here, the signs as we have all seen since Efe got red carded at Hampden are not good. Dens Park next week will tell us more.

    I’ve supported Celtic for over 50 years, share holder and STH, I am also a STH at Spartans who play alongside EK in the Lowland league. Spartans beat EK last week at today’s ground.

     

     

    Accordingly having watched a lot of football in my time and both teams many times in recent seasons, Celtic are at least 10 goals better than EK, who today played to the top of their game whilst Celtic plodded away with the same uninspired style of play that is unfortunately becoming our trademark.

     

     

    Our next 2 games are at home to Ross County and ICT on the next 2 Saturdays. I would like to see us play our future players (Allan, Christie ) and sit out those just not good enough (Forrest, GMS, Efe etc) but it will probably be the same old same old.

     

     

    Tough being a Celtic fan at times but I’ll still be there more in hope than expectation. HH

    CULTSBHOY …… You should read CQN more often, and not just when a game is on ……. I have formally complained to the Board recently about their ‘silence’ throughout the corruption which has existed over at ipox, and within the SFA, for at least the past 20 years……..having said that, they have guided us safely through the worst recession in history, despite the fact that there is no money in Scottish Football …… The current manager is, I would agree, due a detailed review on the direction he is taking us, BUT WHILE HE IS THE MANAGER, WE NEED TO GET BEHIND HIM, AND LIFT THE TEAM TO THE TITLE……HH

    Cant understand your post.Who the fek has been scoring all of our goals if we are so impotent?.A mile ahead in goals scored against the “Settled” aberdeen team you are praising,and I think more than last season.If you must jump on a bandwagon,find one thats got some semblance of credence.Better reading the Record than some of the nonsense on here.

    Every picture tells a story, if you look at Ronny,John Collins and John Kennedy’s face’s at full time ,I think they are dead men walking,so maybe the rumours about change’s happening to morrow.could be true,if we are all truthful I’m sure that’s what’s needed, and I have said many times on here ,Ronny should have never been burdened with the position of being head coach at Celtic,Lawell should hang his head in shame.

    Not a great fan of the post Glaziers Man U , however still love to see the beating the current Chelsea mob. Great goal there from Lindgard should set up a thrilling last 30 minutes.

     

    The Brazilian , Willian and Hazard will ensure thatMan U will not coast to a victory.

    If the kind of holding, jostling and pushing occurred anywhere else on the field, there would be cards and sendings off galore.

    I may have been the last person to support Ronny Deila. If so, the count is down to zero.

     

     

    I’m a performance type of guy rather than result. And sure we could have won by a lot more. But that was in spite of the way we played rather than because of it.

     

     

    Charlie Mulgrew, used to be good. But why oh why keep him on the pitch and leave play makers on the bench? GMS was at least providing some entertainment.

     

     

    To end on a positive note…

     

    I like Kazim Richards compared to other big guys we’ve signed – so maybe that’s not saying much.

     

    I like Eric the Viking. Facially similar to Stan Petrov. Looks like a good all round player.

     

    Tierney continues to impress. Just seems to do everything right. I’m going to label him as the left sided Danny McGrain.

     

     

    There ends the positives.
