A Hibs fan suggested to me on Twitter that as his team are wearing their home kit for next week’s Scottish Cup Final Celtic should take the opportunity to wear their 125th anniversary top. Despite there being 100 years precedent of Celtic and Hibs both wearing their home kits, recent rules (or perhaps customs) dictate that clubs are not permitted colour clashes.
That being the case, let’s take the opportunity to reach back to our founders and wear the anniversary kit.
Before that we have the small matter of Dundee United to play on Sunday. Celtic won the league by 20 points last season, 10 of which were gained after a competitor failed to come up with enough money to meet their commitments. Defeat at Tannadice could reduce this season’s winning margin to 10 points, in a season where everyone, even Hearts could afford to meet their commitments.
Who would’ve thought this SPL would be so competitive? Not me. More please.

I see St. Johnstone are adding shame to their existing disgrace by appealing thug Wright’s ban.
I will have lost any faith I had (not much) in the SFA if he gets off, especially in light of the damning video evidence………..but I will not be surprised.
Lenny gets a 3 match ban for swearing, Wright should get at least twice that for vicious, premeditated assault.
i dont think paul or rtc would be drawn to this if there were any doubts..lets see where this goes next..surely other clubs must stand up and be counted and put serious pressure on the sfa and the relevant authorities

the spl is not competitive right now, celtic underperformed hence the small points gap between us and motherhell, but inho Dundee united, Aberdeen, hearts and hibs have all underperformed for many a year. I expect one or even two of the four clubs mentioned to be making a better fist of it next season. think it will come from Aberdeen and Dundee united.
if any two of these four clubs could get themselves challenging for the title, their attendances would increase, their income would increase and our league would improve.
the redistribution of income and introduction of relegation play-offs is a decent start (2013/14)
hopefully the year after next, a euro league play-off and closing the prize money income gap between 1, 2 and 3, 4 in the spl (2014/15)
increase size of spl to 14 team league (2 x 13 = 26, 7/7 split 2 x 6 = 12) total = 38 games. Add another relegation spot (two automatically relegated, 13, 14), two spl clubs into relegation play-off against each other (11,12) to avoid relegation play-off with 1 division teams i.e. 3,4,5 placed teams. (2015/16).
run same system for another year (2016/17)
30% of all profits made from euro income (participating clubs) into domestic euro pot distributed to top half split (2017/18)
40% of all profits made from euro income (participating clubs) into domestic euro pot distributed to top half split (2018/19)
50% of all profits made from euro income (participating clubs) into domestic euro pot distributed to top half split (2019/20)
move season forward 2 weeks for each season until season commences in early june.
1) season commences earlier I.e. better chance of euro progression for clubs
2) able to offer a product outwith other football season (summer/ish football)
3) fairer distribution of cash better rewards for finishing top six/ seven
4) several clubs there or there abouts every year
5) better crowds due to more meaningful games i.e. more excitement
6) more turn over within the league i.e. more excitement
7) increases interdependency of clubs and recognises the need for strong league (opposite to the current model responsible for rangers death for example i.e. gambling on future participation in euro etc…
8) all adds up to better league and more interest more fans watching and attending = far better t.v deals/ or own football t.v channel
the Scottish league can be competitive and of a good quality but it needs some big fundamental changes and we need to loss a little to gain a lot

That’s exactly what I was thinking. It’s as if someone has joined all the dots.

With regards to fakeover, when I googled the phone number on the letter a link to the Worthington Group, would this be expected in December that Sevco 5088 were using Worthington’s numbers etc? Also, the trading address and registered addresses are the same as the ones swapped and swapped back again in April.
