A quick £13m profit for Green and pals

885

Charles Green and his initial backers have achieved a remarkable result with what is already evident in their prospectus.  Page 66 notes: “In the period to 31 August 2012, a total of 25,340,000 shares were issued for a total consideration of £7,719,000”, issued at approximately 30.4p per share.  At a price of 70p per share these shares would be worth £17.738m, a cool £10m profit.

Since that August date Green has enjoyed something of a windfall.  Page 83 notes, “The contractual right to an option over 10 per cent. of the enlarged ordinary share capital of RFCL was exercised by Charles Green on 31 October 2012 by a partial exercise notice pursuant to which 5,000,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in RFCL were issued to Charles Green on 31 October 2012.”

That’s 5m shares, worth 70p each, which is a stunning £3.5m to add to the above £10m!

Have you heard how great the CQN Annual is? You can order online here, not many posting days left before Christmas!

Next month a raft of new bodies will have notifiable shareholdings, specifically: Hargreave Hale, Artemis Investment Management, Cazenove Capital Management, Legal & General Investment and Insight Investment Management, all of whom will seek returns for their money.

2012 was the year Rangers were liquidated.  It was also the year the assets were snatched from the grasp of an array of Rangers fans by people who saw an opportunity.

2013 will bring an SPL Commission and Upper Tier Tribunal issues for oldco but the consequences of these share issues will determine the performance of newco for decades to come.  I think you and me should keep quiet about this.  Let Charlie carry on and do what he needs to do over the coming weeks.

I’m sure a link will be up soon enough.

Going by the posts, and going by what the deluded huns are saying about it, it’s black and white, and going by what has gone on before, I know who I am going to believe.

Stupid is a compliment to them, they are not stupid, they are brain dead.

Had they listened to Timmy years ago………..but as ever all they want to do is shoot the messenger.

BBC is not any better in fact far worse than StV when you consider Jabbas appointment and that they are not a private company.

February should tell us more. I expect as much procrastination as the Hillsboro families endured. I am not equating the grief just highlighting how nasty stuff is brushed under the carpet.

Canamalar I heard that in September. Who do they owe money too ?

    Who is complaining ?

Which QC is going to take ill in February ?

It is getting to the stage that if Sevco lost 5.0 at the weekend that it will be reported they won 5.0

  4. Garcia Lorca, thanks for the memories of the 5-1 match. I was there too. After years of suffering at the hands of the Hun, this match gave us such confidence and faith in a new dawn. Jock certainly delivered that.

I’m in London most weeks if you ever want a beer and a stroll down memory lane. I’ m sure Paul would be good enough to introduce us.

CG’s statement re buying and owning titles DEMANDS a response from the SPL/ SFA.

Those titles are won under THEIR rules not CG’s and if SFA/ SPL rules were broken then they not CG can pronounce on the validity of such titles.

This not a witchunt against The Rangers as is being portrayed unchallenged, its about who runs our game, the football authorities or CG which is why he must be contradicted.

However if that might put the share issue at risk the eunuchs who run our game will say nowt.

If they dropped a ton of anthrax over Ibrox it would get its safety certificate.

The only way forward for us IMHO is to bankrupt them all. Clubs and Football bodies

That would require a Domestic TV ban from us .

maybe Charles Green Promise is like the ASDA promise you go on line and find same product cheaper tey refund the difference? How much are shares in other 3rd Division clubs?

    I agree with you 100%.

So how do we go about bringing it all down ??

If the status quo is allowed to carry on, the game is over, it’s over as it stands, so bringing it down is the only answer imo.

Thats how I felt that day. I was only ten and my early memories of playing the huns before that were painful ones. I still remember my old man coming home drunk from previous ne-erday games to tell me we’d lost 3-0 or 4-0, and even at that age feeling sick to my stomach. January 3rd 1966 was a true watershed moment in our history. It was indeed a new dawn. It was my first Celtic v Rangers game and its still one of my favourite memories. I sat in the stand and could hear the Celtic end singing, but it was so foggy I couldnt see them.

  15. The idea of any global brand like Diageo via Guinness sponsoring Celtic park is as fanciful as greens nonsense that someone might sponsor naming rights for ibrox. Why do folk continuously come up with this rubbish ? The plain facts are for 3 games a season our stadium has a significant reach beyond our 5 or so million Who would pay for that ?

  16. A wee question for the blog:

If, as has been quoted, CG already has circa £5m in his tail (for a runner?)

and, the other 70% corporate investers (allegedly) are guaranteed a payback?

Sorry, WTF, How? (Fred Dineage – RIP),…

    ach, Who Cares?

As the Tim Vulcans used to say “Don’t Live Long and Don’t Prosper”.

  17. Canamalar. Do you honestly think that any of the blue chip companies you suggest have not been gone through by sponsorship pros to try to engage on the possibilities. From my experience in this field we will struggle to get a deal anywhere as good as carling or Tennents in the years to come. There is no interest in a brand with such negligible exposure. Remember CL sees most rights for sponsors negated as uefa run the stadium.

  18. Green is already fleecing them for 360k a year salary, and same again if they win the 3rd Division. The cardigan is pressing the masonic flesh in the boardroom for 50k a year, might even be by EBT…

  20. just saw charlie green on tv – mini rant

In any sane world people like Charles Green would be seen coming a mile off and given short shrift as in the case of Sheffield United in England. A replay of the Craig Whyte scenario is evolving although involving two different personality types, one more aggressive and comfortable in manipulating of fans, tradition and media, the other uncomfortable and aloof from his client base and media.

In the insane world of the West of Scotland, no why stop there, Scottish society Charles has found a fertile playground for his money making scheme. The power of the rangers brand within Scotland has allowed him carte blanche on any pronouncement he cares to make with Murrayesque fawning already transparent in Scottish Football, the fourth estate, and beyond.

Everyone knows of the rangers traditions & religious triumphalism espoused from the knuckle dragging denizens to the more articulate within Scottish society. The visit to the heartlands of Belfast Loyalism left no doubt in the mind where Charles Green was garnering the hearts and minds of the ‘faithful’. I am now coming round to the idea that Scotland is irretrievably a damaged entity with too many unhealthy underlying problems. There is an insane preoccupation with religion and suspicions of those out-with ( old ) tribal certainties, with support structures including lodges throughout Scotland , changes will have to be generational.

You are indeed correct, there is a tiny cross on a massive crown on the Madrid badge. So the shops in the middle east took it off, along with a stripe from Barca. This is of course a precurser to Celtic getting rid of the four leaf clover to make a few quid.

Lets go tonto SD! no time to lose, lets join our brother across the water and get that fleg back onto Belfast city hall. They are already at it over there!

In fact lets run Beram Kayal outta town just in case he is a plant from those pesky A-rab mutineers

I get your reasoning, really, I do

In fact I reckon there is an evil arab genius, up there with the likes of Kojo in the intelligence stakes, plotting our demise as we speak….

Keep plugging away mate, you need to spread the word, the arabs are taking over! Look at the statistics published today, immigration UP, atheism UP, indigenous whites are getting hammered. it all points to one thing, your message is getting across slowly but surely.

Once you get enough momentum going, social unrest must surely follow, a few wee riots in some god-forsaken inner city hell holes will surely mean the introduction of even more draconian police state intervention, and stop letting those lefties near the internet. That’s getting sorted too.

What about castration for 2nd generation unemployed and street people, that would be a giggle.

    Re Diageo/ Guiness,

    I don’t see how it’d be fanciful.

Personally speaking, if Guiness offered a decent sp. deal to us, I’d drink nothing but Guiness. To put it into perspective, if 2000 Celtic supporters changed their drink to Guiness spending an average of £1000 a year on it, it’d be worth £20M in gross sales, say £5M profit a year.

They’d be more encouraged to take on this deal now that we are more likely to be involved in CL for the next 5 years at least.

It would be a good deal imo.

As for concerns about an alcohol sponser, it’s never done me any harm…..;))
