Aberdeen look to cap top team in 25 years

1164

Really looking forward to tomorrow.  Aberdeen are no flash-in-the-pan, they are as strong a non-Glasgow team as there has been in 25 years, having built on foundations laid last season.  They arrive at Celtic Park having won there last season, and after two narrow defeats to Celtic this season, which has cost them a place at the top of the league.

Ronny Deila will have an enormous job to pick his players up after the disappointment of Thursday night, but that’s what champions do.

I know we’ve got a few foodies here, so check out The Foodies Guide to Glasgow and the West, by Fraser Wilson.  Proceeds from the book go to Mary’s Meals, which goes a long way towards alleviating poverty.

If you are from or near Dundee…….

There’s a charity dinner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Brother Walfrid, in the East Chamber, Dundee, on Friday 17 April.   Proceeds from the night will go towards helping three-year-old Oliver Bosch, who was born without auditory nerves.

The evening will have an Irish theme, with an Irish menu, music and song and the Lochee School of Irish Dancing will give a display of traditional Irish dancing.  For tickets contact joe.carroll1948@yahoo.co.uk

Just had my 6 monthly haircut, the hairdresser was a pretty wee thing but I didn’t have the heart to tell her that her oxters were bouffin :-(

As the old joke goes – “I’d like some deodorant please.”

“Ball type or aerosol type?” “No just for under my arms.”

I do feel they have players better than some of the higher risk punts. Some of whom as fans we were able to write off on first sighting.

AFC have some good pros who show week in week out hunger.

I think we will beat them 2-0 but they are defo 2nd force for long time to come.

On my £40m it was a tongue in cheek jib but I watched them last night and I’d say it’s not so far fetched as I previously may have thought. They need £10m to clear immediate debt. Same again to sort stadium and they need new manager and new team…. Mi bees £30m ;-)

Wish somebody would be bold enough to tell Charlie Nicholas he’s far too old for an earring.

Thats the whole problem in a nutshell for me

no-one would complain about sanctions for misdeeds if there was consistency in the punishment meeted out.

But while we know of the inconsistency we should do all to ensure we dont give the authorities any ammunition to punish our club…………stay within the rules no matter how unbalanced they are

the next level of sanctions are not worth putting our heads above the parapet imo

Only breaking my self imposed exile because EDB did too. Piccolo Mondo on Argyle St. just round the corner from La Lanterna (the one at Central Station). La Lanterna food is great, but the tables are jammed. Suppose it depends on what you want to do, have a conversation or rub shoulders with the next table.
