    It was magnificent entertainment.

     

     

    Aberdeen played really well.

    but at least it kept everyones interest until the last kick.

     

     

    on another day against aberdeen we could be 3 up in half an hour and we would be talking about something else now!

     

     

    all that really matters in a cup game is that you get to the next round

    Pitch poor for a semi-final.

     

    During post match discussions I noticed in the background that the grass was being by two mowers.

     

    Is there another match tomorrow ?

     

    CalMac, Reo, and to a lesser extent CCV all not total match fit.

     

    BTW this was a cup semi- final, and I for one enjoyed it.

     

    Why on earth would we be worried about what the other semi-finalists think ?

    no getting away from it , we were very lucky today , played poorly throughout the game , defensively , midfield and wide we where not performing with or usual fluidity and tempo , need to step up big time.

    we werent ‘lucky’.

     

     

    we had more shots on target, more shots off target and more possession.

     

     

    we just werent great

    WOW….That was nervy game, and I am happy to give Aberdeen some credit for coming back against Celtic Twice.

     

     

    I would be good to ask any Huns IF they STILL think that Aberdeen ONLY raise their game against THEMS ?

     

     

    They raised their game Today, although I thought some Celtic players didn’t have anywhere near their best game for Celtic.

     

    Overall, and despite only coming on as a Sub, I thought JAMES FORREST was Celtics best player Today, as he made things happen and took his Goal very well.

     

     

    I didnt see YANG contributing much Today, and I was shouting at Brendan to take him off. His disappearing act during games is of NO USE to Celtic.

     

     

    im just relieved and happy to get thru that semi final and the Bhoys can rest up til next week.

     

    My Heart needs a few quiet days also after that game.

    CCV had his worst game for us and Scales and Taylor were both rotten today. The whole left side of our team was sub-standard today. Losing two replica goals in the last minute of normal then extra time was scandalous really.

     

    Rodgers wasn’t great today either.

     

    Aberdeen were excellent ….”

    I backed the Horse a few times in recent weeks and the best Price that I got was 8/1 but it certainly DRIFTED in the Betting Today….8/1 or 18/1 ?

    Managerial change was 8 weeks too late – too many loan players.

    Thought our penalties were excellent on the whole . Even Joe’s was inches away from the perfect pen, low and hard just inside the post would have been unstoppable , so fine margins (as was the Aberdeen boy who missed their first one).

     

    Wasn’t a typical game as it was like a CL final for Aberdeen after their season of underachievement , looked like they had nicked the huns season supply of red bull . All of the top 5 will be hoping to beat us of course , but only the huns are likely to have that type of motivation and I don’t know if they’ll have the spirit for it by the time they come to CP.

    Great game of football. Semi-finals in the main a very tight affairs. We take our chances we could easily have seen the game out, but, big licks to Aberdeen who came back to earn the draw. Fantastic advert for Scottish football. We will play better, but today was more about getting to the final, we’ve done that so no complaints from me, por cierto

    second half Celtic totally dominated the match – 80% possession – we have many chances to score 3 or 4 more but for fractions. Watch again and you will see the chances we created through clever football. Aberdeen fought for their lives and used their height for scraps and it almost worked for them.

     

     

    Thats football when chances are not taken.

     

     

    Palma got minutes and looked better than yang. Forrest got minutes and looked dangerous. Kuhn experienced what big celtic games are and did ok , other than poor delivery. Iwata was a rock and actually offered more than mcgregor did. Idah got us up the pitch and should have scored one or two.

     

     

    Bernardo is so clever with his use of the ball – esp in tight spaces.

     

     

    My only gripe is X 2 – Taylor and Johnson not able to block crosses – esp when players turn inside. They dont narrow the gap. And of course , back post defending – we need to fix that for remaining matches.

     

     

    Celtic penalties were all class and composed. Big Joe made it his moment , the post and the save.

     

     

    4 home games on a fast slick surface will suit this team who like to attack attack attack.

     

     

    Watch again the control we had throughout , the chances we had but also the weaknesses exposed – that EVERY team tries to capitalize on.

     

     

    Gonna be a fun ride but I’m confident in the skill , speed and resilience

    Well that was a timely reminder and warning for the league run in. On our poor days we are capable of losing even when playing Livi at CP. Both CB’s were defensively suspect at their goals and the full backs were absent from the scene or ineffectual by-standers. Our midfield were upset by snarling tackles from Barron and McGrath and we were vulnerable constantly to the long ball down the channel and the cross to the back post.

     

     

    Despite that, we were the better team with more possession and shots at goal, yet continued to gift them the more obvious chances. Joe Hart saved us on occasions and AJ was a willing runner with some good assists. Thought the subs were decent – Paolo Bernardo & Iwata especially but my Top 3 were Jamesie, Josie & AJ

    That was an exciting game .

     

    We have no devine right to win any football match.

     

    Aberdeen gave everything as you would expect in a Cup Semi Final.

     

    End of the day the better team won and we are in the Final.Being in the Final is all that matters.

     

    Also the sevconians will have the dry boak.

    had that been a league game i would have made 3 specific subs at half time – 1 in defence, midfield and up front.

     

     

    but it wasnt a league game so you need to think about extra time.

    no one thinks anything about divine rights. but until P67 bars us from having post-match opinons about the good and the bad of the game then we will keep the discussions going.

    I totally agree, we have no divine right to win any game. We certainly have no divine right to win a cup semi. Enjoyed the game and pleased with an ability to win in crazy circumstances.

    Haven’t read back but I’d wager there’s a debate ongoing between those who see we’re through and don’t care for want of a better phrase about how we did it.

     

     

    Then of course some will point to some very troubling elements to our game today with 5 league games largely in on our mind.

     

     

    I’d drop CalMac, Yang and Scales for Dens. BR has to take on board the lessons today.
