    I concur with you. I have believed for a long time that those who spout their nonsense about Peter Lawell are out to get the Board. Let’s hope Celtic never fall into their hands. I also suspect many of them have a political agenda which few Celtic supporters espouse. (I hope they are generally brighter than those who believe the MSM.)

     

     

    These are among the best of times in my lifetime to be a Celtic supporter. Let us all enjoy them.

    Celtic were for at least a decade, yet they were cheated out of those trophies, prize-money and associated revenue from advertising, and European competition. That is kind of my point.

     

     

    I don’t support the let’s just sweep that under the carpet and move-on in trust that it wont happen again.

    Aye,I know. Educating people with a mindset is never simple. Thatcher did it by selling people the council houses they already owned,and the utilities,the spine of the nation,which they already owned.

    Listening to that playlist reminded me how much musical talent was coming out of Scotland at that time. Especially the West with Pastels, Soupdragons, Primal Scream etc.

     

     

    Was in a local Oz old time vinyl record shop last week where the owner loved Teenage Fanclub and that reminded me of a lot of the old tunes.

    When we played Aberdeen in the early 80s Willie Miller was head and shoulders above anyone else on the park; the best player we came up against.

     

     

    He was on the other hand a terrible referee…

    perhaps controversial, but would it be better for Scottish football if we didn’t win the treble this year?

     

     

    I’m not suggesting chucking it in the cups but it would be no disaster if we were deservedly beaten by Aberdeen or such like in the Scottish Cup (I must confess I want the LC this year – it’s been too long and I don’t like the ‘bogey’ tag that comes with that trophy and Celtic!)

     

     

    I think it would also be good if we were run close in the league, not by default because we are shipping more points than normal but because a near challeger is able to beat most of the other also rans most of the time.

     

     

    For me this is a far more realistic way ahead for us than some yearning to get in to another league that is years away at best.

     

     

    A return to the 80’s 3 way league fight between AFC, CFC and DUFC and perhaps if the green half of embra ever get their act together them too……

    That is why we question decisions which are being taken in our name. The huns died because they were conditioned never to ask.

     

     

    I will always ask when I see a reason to.

    Would you prefer to keep three players who wanted a move? This hardly equates to a spine. If a player wants to leave I would not want him to form the spine of our team I would reserve that term for players who want to play for Glasgow Celtic

    Nonsense. Read what I wrote. Let me make it really clear for you by saying PL does a great job and I would rather have the suits that run our club that the Spivs on the Southside. It doesn’t put them beyond criticism.

     

     

    Last month I heard the words come out of PL’s mouth himself that the people in charge of Celtic were there to be challenged and it was right for the supporters to do so. I also told him I thought the club was in safe hands.

     

     

    My world is not as black and white as yours. In fact, it is all shades of grey.

     

     

    Nor do I defer to the views of the MSM for my opinion. I am smart enough to work the facts out of myself and source the true facts from a wide variety of sources. I do stand alone.

     

     

    These are among the best of times in our lifetime to be a Celtic supporter. Let us all enjoy them but lets not waste missed opportunities or needlessly compromise ourselves. We can be even better.
