Seems to have been an indifferent performance.
Come On The Hoops.
Stokes is poor. Has been all season but obviously is doing whatever job the manger wants him to do. Today though Stokes is the least of our worries. Matthews is awful and is pulling out of challenges. He should be hooked at half time. Mulgrew can’t pass to a Celtic player. He’s in that position as protection for our defence, especially when our full backs are bombing forward but today he is a liability and should also not be on for second half.
This is a much better standard of game than Thursday night’s was.
Game is wide open and well contested. A bit of bravery can win this.

I thought Zaluska was at fault in coming for the throw in at their goal. It ended with him on the ground and slow to get up when the shot came in afterwards and he spilled what he should have gathered.

Agree about Mulgrew, he looks half fit. We’ve been the better team first half without playing well but I would like to see us closing down better in midfield. Don’t like these 20 yard open gaps the Aberdeen midfield can run in.
Fancy us to do it in the second half if we can get quicker support up to Guidetti.
BTW wee Jamesie’s new sticky up hairdo brings him up to an official 5 foot three.

No a big JF fan but he’s proving to be our better providers today
Mulgrew needs to be better in the 2nd half. Far too many stray passes.

Forrest is doing ok given it is his first game back. Don’t expect him to last the 90 but he can give us another 15 – 20 mins.
Midfield is too slow in getting the ball forward. There are goals here if we pass quickly and use the skills of Stokes and Guidetti around the box.
Despite AS being quiet…excellent pass to SJ for the goal.
That’s what he can do though he frustrates the life out of me!
Is the sky pundits analysis being beamed into the refs room?
They seem to be pointing out all the things they think the Dons were wronged by.

Glad to see Forrest back. Got to the bye line a few times. But I fear a mishap every time the ball is passed to Mulgrew. Not sure Charlie knows what he is going to with it or supposed to do with it.

That nails it for me.
Normally,Mulgrew is a decent passer of the ball.
Today his passing is atrocious and he is chasing shadows.
Should be hooked now.
As for there goal you can’t excuse LZs mistake but Mulgrew started to close down the shot, then checked allowing the ball past instead of blocking. His decision making at the most is appalling.
Watching the Abz goal again, Forrest was dreaming and if he had been alert would easily have cleared it ?
Still don’t see Mathews as poor as some are saying ?

If you remove the opposition from the proceedings then indifferent might be apt.
However if you respect the opposition and their effort then in fact it has been quite a good match.
Match being the key word but I suppose it all depends what you look for when watching.
Mulgrew is playing like a big lassie(no disrespect to any lassies) ,but,has he had a feckin perm as well?

I’d love to see Stokesie stick a few away today.
Missed the start were there probls with the minutes silence. Roddy Forutje seemed to blame us for disruption.

FWIW,my experience of Celtic supporters is that we are a knowledgeable bunch. And few are teetotal prior to turning up at the match.
What a bunch of moaning gits on CQN these days. It’s always the same if we are not 4-0 up at half-time. This is s hard game and we have fought well to get back on level terms. Only Bournesouprecipe saves the day with a calm and reasoned analysis of the first 45 minutes. An oasis of sense in a desert of hysterical recrimination and pessimism that would drive anyone to drink.
Looks like a cracking wee documentary on Sky after the game today
