James McPake’s absence tomorrow will be a blow to Hibs and a significant boost to Celtic. Hibs are short on cover in all areas and McPake, their captain, is an instrumental component in their defence. Celtic are without the suspended Victor Wanyama but they are far better provisioned all over the field, especially in central midfield.
Do you remember the good old days when a football club would be able to spin a load of old tosh to the media, who would report to an incredulous public? This is far more difficult in the multi-channel internet age.
The BBC yesterday reported the headline “Former chief executive Charles Green is cleared of having close links with former Rangers owner Craig Whyte”, although the article itself proclaims a less ambitious “will be cleared”.
All fine and good, but I scoured several articles on this subject for mention as to whether or not the Rangers International internal investigation considered evidence from both sides – the key fact in this story, but one which was missing from reports. Fortunately an Internet Bampot stepped in to help all those in the media. I’m away to check all the updated reports reflecting the new information……
Willie Wallace will be signing copies of his autobiography from 2pm until 4pm at Waterstones on Sauchiehall St. Get your Cup Final weekend off to a Lisbon Anniversary start!

Good story :-)
Guys, nice to see so many who stand on right side ;-)
Anyway fiver on Dortmund 2-1 at 12/1
C’mon Dortmund.
3 weeks later and still Jon Daly.
Who cares about Daly?
Who cares about the Huns and who they may or may not be signing?
Talk about “hatred” and “may he burn in hell”.
FFS there must be something in the universe really deserving of such negative passion other than a footballer and who he signs for.
Come on the Dortmund.
Just bet 3-2 after 90 minutes, for either side. Expecting a high scoring battle.
Bobby Murdoch’s Curled Up Winklpickers
Still lurking, Bobby. And still listening to some great music. Thanks for the email quite a while ago. Unforgivable of me not to reply. Only excuse was getting slammed by deadlines.
All will be revealed on Wednesday.
Just sat down to watch the game. Hope you enjoy it (And tomorrow too, of course!)
Iniquitous
Did I switch on Game of Thrones by accident?
What is all the medieval battle rubbish at Wembley?
If there are any Rutherglen CQNrs on or lurking, is the new Wetherspoons near the Mill St end of Main St any good? Thinking on having my pre-final shandy there tomorrow? Will check back in in 45…
Come on DORTMUND ….

Think Munich are a wee bit fortunate to be there. Think not enough has been made of their second and third goals in the first leg against Barca… these two goals – offside and a clear foul completely changed that tie. Aye, they were the better team over the two legs, but these two goals that shouldn’t have been completely changed the tie, the way Barca had to then chase it, I think they had a hun-sized slice of luck there! Can’t honestly see it happening, but CUMMON THE DORTMUND!
Should have read 25/5/1967
Heatstroke
Couple of bottles of Becks, in the hoose trying to get to watch the game over the voice….I have demanded she turn that tv over.
Not have the same problem tomorrow…pub

My very first trip to Europe to see Celtic was Dortmund in 1987, at the tender age of 17. Went on a mad supporters bus from Cowcaddens. Drunk for about 6 days. Great craic with the locals, even the polis. Got a winch off a nice wee fräulein too :-) I remember how passionate they all were about their team.
Celtic lost, naturally….
Getting up at 4am on a Sunday morning to watch 2 German teams contest a CL final. I must be “fitba” crazy.

Think you have either not read some of the posts or you have not understood them.
Neither is surprising.
For any bhun lurkers…..enjoy, we won this trophy when it was really difficult to do so….

Sp. Dortmund
I too am supporting Dortmund, though the only Germans I’ve ever met on various holidays whom I got on with were all Bavarians who all had close ties with Munich
Poultry all in their beds, well they don’t like footie. Talk after the final whistle. :))

So did I imagine “may he rot in hell”?
Mon Dortmund.
Damo Lennon
That’s an interesting wee article and as Paul McBride eloquently pointed out a while back the SFA don’t even know their own rules.
There is no desire to make Sevco abide by the rules and there is the real problem in football.
Stewart Regan says it all really about where the game is at..
Jobo Baldie
I have only had a quick look in mate, seems quite pleasant ,not a pub as such, more restaurant.
Believe you can drink without food (the only way)but you sit at at tables not stand at the
bar like real CQNers.
Geezashout we will be across the road ‘en vogue’hh
On balance , Dortmund for me.
If Bayern don’t win this year they will in the next few years probably, more then once.
And I think Reus and Lewandowski are just great to watch.

……,.
Not my words. So use your well honed argumentative skills on that poster.
I am off to watch CL final.
Hail hail
I think they can sign who they like, when they like but they can’t register any players until 1st September next and obviously they can’t play unregistered players. There is a loophole to play up to 2 trialists but I doubt if any of their signings could be considered “trialists”.
Very dis-jointed start at wembley.
oooft…great start
I know we shouldn’t wish our lives away……..but am champin at the bit
for the morra to come.
@oscarsflag: Huge thanks to everyone who came out to support Oscar last night. Great nights craic & @ChorltonIrish done us proud. Thanks to all involved
Well done to the Chorlton Irish Centre in Manchester for their Charity Night for Wee Oscar.
Voguepunter.
The Glencairn club. Is it a Tim Shop ?
Ooooft good effort..
Dortmund have started well,
Lewandoski just spotted at Ross Hall.
Dortmund should be winning.
Great save.
Hope Dortmund win but they’ll have to beat a great goalkeeper.

Bavaria is a predominantly RC region, their, culture and lifestyle of getting on with people and enjoying a beer and a song, well need I say more….!
