Feels like one of those nights where we will run out of luck at some point. Can’t see us all of a sudden turning in a cohesive performance just because it’s half time.
Big up for the Hoops…t was always going to be a sweat equity night…..it may not be pretty but its points on the board and euro football after Christmas that counts.

Commons isn’t fit …why take off Forrest ?
Will the real Celtic please stand up, please stand up. Apart from Big Virgil and Fraser we are a mess. Kris clearly unfit, Sammi not making an impact and James Forrest being starved. Lustig looks as if he could get some joy if he had some help round about him going forward.
We need to get the ball and hold it -kc off for jl
i’d go with 1 up front second half. Flood the midfield , pace on the flanks. We’d be more solid and still have strikers on bench if needed to change.

We have done very well defensively but nothing in midfield.
I’d like to see Ledley replace Kayal after 15 minutes if things haven’t improved.
Commons and Forrest need to get more into the game. My God we miss Scott Brown in that midfield.

We are vunerable on the left Izzy is losing his man to often it is gosing to cost us both Izzy and Sammy on a yellow card doesnt help. Our midfield are not getting a grip on the game so no real attacks are building up for us. Big Fraser and Lustig doing well but to be honest 0-0 is fortunate for us I dont know what Lennie will do at half time but if we want to take something from this game things need to change. H.H.

Shaky first 15 minutes but we have settled now. Lustig, Van Dijk and Charlie playing well.
Their passing game allows for interceptions and we will get some chances.

Only one is still no eating, he looks great tho, a day or so and back to normal.

I think the fact that we have 3 or 4 players who have struggled in this game so far, and yet overall we seem to be under no real threat, bears well for the second half. Forrest, Sammi and Commons seem really heavy legged at times, particularly Commons. Neil may want him in there for set pieces but it is a risky tactic.
Defensively we have been superb. Izzy was under a lot of pressure first 15 mins but he weathered the storm and settled down. Fraser, Lustig, Efe and Virgil have been outstanding.
Our biggest problems are shape and ball retention. This is something Neil can hopefully figure out at half time. James drifted in and out from the right and couldn’t get into the game. we need to keep him wide and maybe switch Kris for Ledley.
All to play for. Neil will be the happier of the managers at this point.

A difficult first half.
The positives:
Virgil is dominating everything and oozes class with it.
Mikael is once again showing how good a player he is at this level.
Emilio is really starting to look like the olde Emilio.
Fraser is as solid as ever.
Anto can be the key in this game.
I hope Neil gets inside their heads this interval because we will have to weather a storm at the start of the 2nd. We need a bit more from the 2 CM’s both defensively and offensively and looking for improvement in this area so we can go and get the victory.
We are much better than what we showed first half but I realise this is Ajax’s real Cup Final this season.
Come on the Celts!!!!!!

Lenny is playing for the draw. If we grab something on the break, then great. However at the moment its awful stuff. Its rivetting for us of course but for any neutral it must be desperate.

Just one wee bit of class could make the difference – for either side.
I would expect them to attack our left hand side in the second half with both Sammi and Izzi booked.

I have only seen part of the game on a stream which breaks down a lot but I think we are playing well against a slick but unthreatining Ajax team. I cannot see us losing.

What we need is a huge intimidating ball winning goal scoring midfielder called Vic.
I`m listening to the radio and waiting for Celtic to get a few passes going. We seem to have the ball for two passes at most. Too many free kicks also.

Need to change it KC does not look 100% fit. Badly missing Broony in midfield. We are not getting tight to them middle of the park and are inviting pressure, need to up our work rate. I’d try Derk left and put Sammi up top with stokesy just off.

I’m sure there were supporters thinking Commons wasn’t fit before the game started, – if he wasn’t fit he wouldn’t have passed a fitness test.
