Delighted Kris Ajer has been secured on a new 4-year contract. The player is fast, good on the deck, and at an enormous 6’ 5”, is amply tooled in the air. At 20 years and one month old, developmentally, he is years ‘ahead of the curve’ to borrow a phrase I enjoy.
It is fundamental to the way we play football to have central defenders who can control the ball, pass, and carry it into space. These attributes are even more important that what we regard as traditional central defensive duties.
He will continue to improve for years and has found the perfect environment to develop in.

Good morning good ghuys from dry and sunny North Glasgow
So Sevco get a free transfer who has only played 18 times last season, from a run of the mill EPL team.
We re-sign a Champion with CL experience who has a winning mentality.
Nice piece of business Celtic.

I hope Celtic speak out this week about the (mis)treatment meted out to our captain. Otherwise I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he is assaulted in the Final. (Quite possibly he will be anyway.)
I also hope the CO calls that thug Shinnie out, and his teammate Logan.
LIONSROAR 67…
Goodluck B hope al goesl well mate.HH
God bless Lionsroar67, another wee candle will be lit for you today. Thoughts and prayers are with you Billy.
My wishes and hopes this morning are invested in a good outcome for Lionsroar, aka Billy the Nutmeg King at the 5’s.
He was looking in good shape on Sunday for the events of today, so please guide the hands of the theatre operating staff to complete the other half of this job.
See you soon B!
LIONSROAR 67
All the best for today.

Scott Brown has been afforded no protection from Celtic at all. we should be shouting at the rooftops about these tackles which go unpunished or under punished. either way someone has to speak out before the cup final.
Would anyone on here be surprised if he was out of it after that tack on Sunday? No , me neither.

Absolute must!
Apologies if this has already been posted, Purple TV who made the excellent documentary about Jimmy Johnstone , are making a film about Tommy Burns for BBC Alba. It is hoped it will be screened later this year.
Tommy is irreplacable , most importantly by his family.
Dallas….
Cheers mate I for one didn’t know that…
Tommy B.. thanks for the memories, You epitomized what being a member of the Celtic family is all about…

With regards to Broonie and this week’s final , we only have to look at Motherwell’s assistant manager, Lasley , who as a player , frequently dished it out to our players but could not take it back.
The Adam Matthews broken collar bone incident sticks out. Hammill the Motherwell laft back had pushed Adam in the back causing Adam to be off balance when he then got hit by that wee keich Lasley resulting in Adam landing awkwardly.
When Stokesy clattered Lasley a few years back, Anthony was sent off. Lasley was writhing about . As soon as the red card appeared, he was up on his feet and took the free kick.
Steven Gerrard was undoubtedly an excellent player and had an excellent career.Since his move to Sevco, however, both have improved immensely. Credit must go to the MSSM for this magical transformation.

Talking about our woeful set plays, and the seemingly age old complaint of how bad we are at throw ins.I find it incredible that we do not use thel multi ball system at throw ins.We are still waiting on ball boys to retrieve the ball ,or someone in the crowd to throw it back.By that time everyone is marked. It is ridiculous. All the top teams use the multi ball system.Watch any game when in use and see the difference.
Armstrong is a terrific player, and every effort should be made to get him signed up.He does not look to me like someone who is desperate to leave. It’s a false economy not to pay these guys what they are worth.Especially in today’s transfer market. As I keep saying,we could not afford to go out and buy a player like him currently.
