After full time on Saturday Celtic fly east to play Shakhter Karagandy in Kazakhstan, which is five hours ahead of UK time, but fortunately kick off on Tuesday is 9pm local time, 4pm in the UK, so the team will not have to adjust body clocks. Such a long flight immediately after a game is not without risk, though.
Muscles need to stretch and move freely after exertion. Players will need an exercise routine for the plane to mitigate the risk of the kind of strain injuries we see so often. Get a schedule for them to walk up and down the plane every hour.
I expect Celtic will have a scout at the Astana Arena for Friday’s game between Astana and Shakhter Karagandy but it might not be too revealing. The Shakhter coach and first team squad didn’t even attend the game prior to their last Champions League qualifier against Albanians, Korce. They were locked away in preparation as the second team were deployed for the league game.

I cannot understand Celtic’s silence. I cannot understand Celtic supporters defending it.
Unless somebody gives me a decent reason for either, I will continue to be dismayed by both stances.
At least Celtic don’t try to make up excuses to explain why they distance themselves completely from commenting or taking action against the cheating and corruption. Shame those in charge don’t have the same stance when discussing ‘Rangers’ returning. It would not have been like that with them if the tables were turned.
It’s not dignified to say and do nothing. We could at least use the “Battered person syndrome” defence for any back-lash coming from defending our club and the sporting integrity of Scottish football. I wish Celtic would stop acting like a battered wife and defend us and our club. If they can stand up to misbehaviour of the GB, surely we can stand up to decades of being bigot driven fraud.

Aye. No doubt Vic was the best of the three. I thought Wilson was excellent in Europe last season – one of our most consistent performers.
I was a big Hooper fan – he is a natural goal scorer and they are hard to find.
They will all be replaced though. As others have said – we have lost better over the years.
