CELTIC-DAFT Barry Bannan has missed out on a dream move to his boyhood idols.
The Scottish international midfielder was linked this morning with the SPFL champions.
However, the Crystal Palace star has instead joined former Hoops boss Neil Lennon at Bolton.
The former Aston Villa pocket dynamo has agreed a loan deal until the end of the season.
Bannan has previously played in the Championship during loan spells with Leeds, Blackpool and Derby.
It is somewhat ironic that Neil Lennon should choose to sign the player now as CQN understands that Celtic were given advance warning that the player was being made available by Aston Villa but decided against making a move. Neil was the Celtic manager at this time.
