Why anyone would want 2nd place instead of 3rd is beyond me . Another humping or the chance to have a run in the Europa ? Reality check folks . We stood still for 3 years before Brendan arrived . The catch up will be a slow one but we’ll get there . Relax and think about the teams that didn’t qualify . It was always a race for 3rd place and 3rd place will still be progress . Keep the faith .

a year or two ago, I thought Vidal was the best box to box midfielder in the world … he’s had some injury issues, but still up there among the best in the world … no shame coming second to someone as good as he is.

Yes, McLean seems to be delighted every time Bayern attack.
This lesson will make some of our Bhoys better but not enough of them to ever impact at the level of PSG or Bayern….
We cant sign players who would make any difference in games like these.
Would be easy to rue absence of centre half signings but none of our targets can match strikers like those we face tonight.
I would however try to get two that have better fitness records than Boyatta and Simonovic.

Now Craig Gordon has played well but that’s twice he’s dinked it towards Tierney and he ain’t been close.
Bayern really good at pressing the ball when our keeper has it.
