Being formed by immigrants still has power to shock

1162

A club formed by the Irish immigrant population sends best wishes to Scotland and Ireland. Read all about it! It’s as though our heritage still has the power to shock. How timely the outrage came hours before Celtic launched their “We are Celtic – and we say No To Racism” initiative.  This morning Scott Brown reminded us, “Celtic has been a club open to all people since its formation in 1888”.  Stick to task, Celtic.

Congratulations to our former boss, Martin O’Neill, in getting the Irish to at least the knock-out round. Commiserations to our other former boss, Gordon Strachan. Gordon will be feeling sore right now but he should lick his wounds and stick to task. He got the better of Ireland on their head-to-head and came within a whisker of also getting the better of Poland. The loss in Georgia was typical Scotland – you cannot change everything in two years, while Ireland taking four points from six off Germany is inexplicable.

Gordon is by far the best man to take Scotland the World Cup 2018 qualifiers; get on with it.

  1. Great header but poor defending. Not a disaster we always needed to score a second to go through. However a third would be a disaster.

  2. No change for Republic, really.

They needed a goal anyway, and if they get it to 2-2 and keep it to that, they qualify.

It’s pretty mad putting any face to any blog name, me and the good lady were talking about it today, told her I met Frantic’s wife, Philbhoy’s wife and daughter and even MacJays daughter from Australia, explained about all the great work CRC & co do for the charity stuff and like you said BMCUWP setting the day up (she knows all about Lennybhoy already) ….. About a hour later I was in the kitchen and she was on the phone to her daughter my oldest step-daughter (sevconian) and she was more or less saying word for word all my daft wee stories, she still thinks I am weirdo about meeting strangers over the Internet in the pub but she is staring to understand, told her also some posters say it’s a cliquey thing…..her response “that Cqn must be the worst clique in the world they let anybody go” that puts everything in a nutshell for me, as I have posted before and will post again there is far more good about Cqn than bad

as for Clogher Celt (& Almore) your hard work re Dublin is much appreciated it, the good lady also loved the posters, she is a Tim at heart she just doesn’t want to admit it

Good night and take care fellow Celtic fans

I current World Rugby , France are not as `mighty` as Ireland. Ireland were favourites and showed that that was deserved.

At no point in that match did I think Ireland were being `pummelled`. I texted my Welsh mate 15 minutes into the game to say that I could not see anything other than an Irish victory.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the most recent games involving Wales, Scotland and Ireland. In fact, I think the whole tournament has been excellent and the quarter finals look to keep that going. I am no longer so confident that the All Blacks will win the Cup. Australia were superb against England and South Africa are growing stronger by the game. Ireland are the pick of the Northern Hemisphere.

You apologised to me the other day . Absolutely no need to have done so as whatever I had posted was a light-hearted comment concerning TD67`s comments historical about teachers. I have met Tony and he is a top bloke so he would have known I was joking. You sound like a top bloke yourself,

Lennons Passion you don’t manage to join, it’s like logging on here you put a bit of effort into it, it might not be everybody’s cup of tea but I quite like the charitable stuff, Cqn11 was my stag doo, I enjoy Last Man Standing, maybe if I wasntpt out of the competition I might not have went yesterday to pay my dues, my step-daughter (due in November) was rushed into Wishaw General early hours of Saturday morning, me and her mum didn’t know until about 10.30am, thankfully she got the all clear and got out of hospital around 12pm, I told my missus I wouldn’t bother going out, she said don’t be daft everything’s ok away and have a few pints and meet your stranger pals face the Internet…… My point of this rant is you don’t just “manage to join a clique” you interact and meet good Celtic people from a great Celtic blog

Jungle Jim I know you posted yday if I was still on the blog, Lennybhoy knew the above that why he said he knew I was busy, thankfully he to,d me as I very rarely read back because you can only change the future the past has already….passed

Not one of my mates or family are on Cqn, my boozer is a good Celtic pub but a Cqn day out is just a break from the norm, maybe that’s why so many posters seem to enjoy it (yesterday was my first) if you saw them every other day or every weekend it might be different, it’s just a wee change and always for a good cause……

Get yourself along to the next one, if you don’t fancy it no point complaining about it

Is there not a law or something against this sort of thing.

After all didn’t the courts say something about not doing this.

Was it not in the papers warning people not to speak about it ?
