Boycott call as Celtic fans money promised to re-establish Rangers

1670

The Gang of 10 SPL club who will meet next week will decide whether or not we have a morally sound and ethically administered league. The meeting wasn’t announced three hours before overtures were being made on terms a Rangers Newco would be prepared to agree to in order to win their backing.

Effectively, the other 10 will asked to hold their noses, put all moral judgement aside and tell Rangers Newco the terms they need to agree to in order to get back into the SPL, retain their history and limit consequences of the alleged improper registration of players. Some of those hoping to front a Rangers Newco are prepared to do whatever is necessary to get back on a level playing field with those who have spent the last 20 years playing honest football and paying their taxes.

The question to be considered is not just what is ethically right in sport; it’s more personal than that. This is about what is going to happen to your money, the football club that defines who you are, and your relationship with the game for the rest of your life.

The schemers and cheats are not beaten and they are not going to give up. There is no honour, no ‘dignity’, no moral compass that understands there are consequences for decades of rampant abuse. All there is, is a sense of entitlement that I struggle to comprehend.

That sense of entitlement is about to promise bucket loads of your cash to someone else in order to restore the old certainties. This time, they are not even going to use the tax man’s money, they are going to use YOUR money. The money you put into the game will be distributed and used to flush the smaller clubs, who will in turn restore Rangers to their position of ascendency.

This is not sport, it’s a disgusting abuse of Celtic fans. You are not even being asked, you are being expected to open your wallets and pay whatever price it takes to put Rangers back on top.

I have never called for a boycott of a newspaper, never mind a football game, but this is not football anymore. We cannot be party to this. It is not a passing-issue either. Rules are being made with consequences that could last 100 years.

You have suffered from decades of malpractice and have earned the right to go to Ibrox in two weeks to enjoy the reflection of honest endeavour. After this, our next away game will be at Kilmarnock. If the Gang of 10 attempt an insurrection using your money, join me in a picket outside Celtic Park when these tickets are available for sale, and outside the away gates at Rugby Park on game day, to explain to Celtic fans the consequences of supporting the clubs who would use your money to establish a new Rangers.

Unite and bring the full power of Celtic against those who would rather do a deal with the devil than establish an honest, even, playing field.

If the Gang of 10 give Rangers Newco their way, using your money, we cannot go back to an away game, not this season, not ever. We must demand this discipline from each other and insist the club refuse all away tickets.

Having paid our taxes, registered footballers in an honest manner and brought international acclaim to Scottish football, the Celtic Movement is being corrupted by the lowest common denominator.

Our magnificent sporting institution is being destroyed. For the love of all that is decent and meritocratic in the game, we need help from England, Europe or wherever to move out of Scottish football.

I am just about finished with the entire, corrupt, shambles that masquerades as a sport.

Issue six of CQN Magazine….. has sold out! None left, sorry.

It crossed my mind that Hampden Park would be sold out for the ceremony of Medal Repatriation.

How much would you pay to see Richard Gough and his pals being brought up one by one onto the podium to hand back the medals and trophies they won during the corruption years?

“And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, please give a big hand to Barry Ferguson as he hands back his League Winners medals from 1999, 2000, 2003 ….”

“How does it feel Barry, in front of all these fans, to come clean after all these years..”

“Awe Jim, ah’m pure hurtin’ so ah’m ur”

    The Marketing opportunities are tremendous.

It could make a major contribution to the finances of Scottish Football as a whole.

    Exiled Tim,

There has never been a bigger critic of the board than me and I still say despite the Huns plight that I will reserve my opinion of them.We will still have to rise to the challenge of the Newco however and rest assured this bile will resurrect in some shape or form.

If brains were chocolate you would have a full bag of smarties.

    so simple it’s scary.

I have always wanted Celtic to leave Scottish football, for the reasons of not being able to change what was our lot.

I think we can change our lot now, the club can do this.

If we can force change for the betterment of Scottish football, I want us to stay and the days when Scotland was a force in the world, or would have been if the SFA had the baws to pick the right manager, who would have picked the right team, these days will come back again.

here is quality players aroud, if only they were allowed to play.

How do I know this? Easy, read ACCOUNTS.

  8. it’s Friday. We’ve a Scottish Cup QF on Sunday, possibly the biggest obstacle to our treble. Glad to see the blog commentary shoftiung from the the Boche to our game.

Short comment on the huns: David Begg, after the huns defeat at home to a diddy provincial team last week, described the football as a “sideshow” to the administration. A convenient way to deflect from another capitulation by the team – the exact same players who have this week heroically enlisted their agents to lubricate their exit route; who will be there next week to lose to whoever before losing to us the following week.

This week’s tedious cycle of suposed brinkmanship has also become a sideshow, so also the Blue Knights (spare me) “rescue bid” – deflect from the truth. The big fkng elephant is still there!!! £50m bill from the BTC anyone? And it’s been joined by another elephant – the second-contract cheating-for-years one. And both of them will be brought into sharp focus when the FTT(T) rules in the (hopefully near but not before 25th March) future. That level of cheating cannot be ignored nor loosely forgiven. It won’t be.

Auldheid’s posted a great link on RTC about possible financial implications for the huns; we need similar investigation for other clubs, as the Aberdeen fansite did last week; a cursory look at fans forums for other clubs suggests opposition, indifference at best, to the readmission of the cheating bankrupts. Turn that opposition into action, and right will prevail.

It always does, but sometimes it takes time. It doesn;t prevail by sacking Lee McCulloch in a week – it prevails when 12 years of cheating rebounds irresistibly on its enactor.

  9. a club that votes for newco, would wipe at least 15% of all fans from their stadium for life and i do mean all clubs, but clubs like aberdeen and celtic would lose even more lose if they voted for newco.

the spl becomes a private members club and competition is dead, without competition the spl is dead.

will t.v even bother parting with money for that?

and there is no way they could demand to 1/2 the gates

celtic will say nothing until everything becomes clear, then their position will become clearer

At least one, possibly two Huns haven’t signed as yet to this pay cut.

Your breakaway idea, could be that all the clubs involved could agree not to fulfil their final day fixtures, we’d all be relegated – SFL would be delighted, this would highlight to UEFA and bombard them and SFA that Euro licenses to should be given to the Financial Fair Play League – I would call it that as well. The only criteria for being a member is fair play in every aspect of a club’s off field affairs.

Would you believe it, we’re shaping the future of Scottish Football ;-))))

Hello m8, I want Rangers to continue as they are and I want them to pay all their debts and I want them to become a genuinely Great Scottish team like Celtic, Aberdeen and Dundee Utd when they get over themselves.

If they are unwilling to accept they have been caught cheating. I hope they are pulverized by the Courts.

    Cheers mate, now I understand.

Can I ask you, and all the others, if Celtic were to launch a Celtic Membership for the good of the club and all it supporters funded by as many supporters as could afford to be involved… would you join?

    you’re up early (or late?)

The most important thing is that they pay (appropriately) for all their evils and wrongs whether they are prepared to admit them or not.

You are of course right. And of course they are not prepared to admit their wrongs. Almost completely collectively, they are defiant and deniant (not a word but it should be, if only for the purpose and cadence of this sentence). Even some of my closer acquaintances, who were wrongly upbrang but have sufficiently matured in a mixed society to acknowledge and despair of their grotesque bigotries, cling to the hope that Craig is the source of all evil and someone else will save the day; they cannot see the history of cheating, greed, and sense of supremacist entitlement, that brought them to this point. To me it conjures an image of Hitler choking on his Bratwurst watching some schwartze outpacing the Aryans to gold at the Berlin Olympics.

Remains to be seen. Not going down the road as regards the present board as the three in a row to the Huns should still have been a no no.We will see what Lawwell has to to offer shortly and it better be the Huns wae a headstone over them.
