I think some people have been reading too much into mentions of Rangers owing HMRC up to £75m. For clarity, the big tax case, with penalties and interest, could reach approximately £50m, but that is not the end of the story.
There is the wee tax case, the potential VAT liability relating to the income from Ticketus and VAT due each quarter. Then there is Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and National Insurance (NI). With the lack of financial information from Rangers barring this “£75m” statement, it’s possible VAT, PAYE and NI are delinquent.
Add this lot up and you can easily see why the taxpayer could be looking at a £75m hit, Rangers did not link this figure with the big tax case alone. I’ll leave it up to Craig Whyte’s next interviewers to ask how much of this figure has been incurred under his stewardship.
And remember, we’re only talking about HMRC debt here, don’t forget about the police, Glasgow City Council, utility suppliers and a multitude of small local businesses.
We don’t need no stinkin’ Rangers.

I’ve been following you’re posts re Celtic outside Scotland for a while and this is the first time you’ve named any names, I hope it all comes to fruition as our club are held back by the auld firm tag in scotland and IMO cheated by the establishment supporters of the rangers, I’d hope if it does happen we can also maintain a team in the lower leagues of Scotland (initially), the Celtic supporters will back both teams, we have a worldwide Celtic family which hasn’t properly been tapped into, bring it on.

as we rejoice in their demise may I take this chance to remind you to be careful in future weeks/months
their fans have always been renowned for the hatred and agression towards us, this will multiply 10 fold
stay safe and pick your moments for laughing at them as the lowlifes in their support (approx 97.8%) will lash out at all and sundry
HH and stay safe
CRC/ MWD how did the do go on Sat night?
I was treated to a wee erm private night with the GB, magic it was but I was back down the Port early.

Do the Huns have to go into liquidation before their players become free agents or can that happen in administration?

On a night like this I don’t want to be in a disagreeable mood but…. I can’t agree with that buddy.
Fergus was brilliant, absolutely stoic in the work he carried out for us. However, for me the stadium is his legacy. He saved us from what is today facing our adversaries and for that our gratitude will be boundless but his policy permitted the huns to equal an achievement that should never have been achievable, 9iar.
He will be forever a hero, but a statue? Naw.
Here’s why they deserve to die:

I will hpoefully find out more at the weekend, but my amigo was over the proverbial moon.

Not quite, TR.
Born in Union Street.
Badly educated at Carrownaganonagh School, Donegal ( driven out of Clydebank by the Blitz ),… OHR primary,… St. Pat’s , Dumbarton secondary, with further education at every dog track in Scotland.
Still in the Donegal outpost that built the world’s greatest liners.
A lot of wasted effort by a lot of long suffering teachers.

Taggsbhoy arranged a great night..but not sure how MWD ended up in the winning team.
All in a great cause and typical that it just sums up what Celtic fans are about!

I think a player only becomes a free agent if the club fail to pay him. I think a Hearts player left for that reason and that is without an administrator running things.
WITS,

I plead with you to listen to this 3 times – difficult tonight I know – its worth the reward. A mesmerising song from Cuba – Omara Portuondo

Wise words for our Celtic amigos who live in Scotland, they will run amock akin to a raging bull but without the brain cells of the bull, travel together and stay together when you’re socialising, I’ll be much more wary when staying up the road in Scotland.

That tale from the script of hun HQ was deliciously macabre. and your addendum hilariously
apposite the hun mind it’s profane desire to be always in the eye an imagined lurking gentry
doff-matic in quick tug forelock release the crest emblazoned blue baseball cap in deference
always the superior handshanker.
Awe_Naw….You alone after Paul, in sterling work on here have by osmosis capsized the huns
plan in comedic form completely.
Wunderbar.
Good night Bhoys n Ghirls
That’s what you get for cheating!!!
Paul67, one last thing..
Do you have any knowledge of what AJ was saying ( on Shortbread) that the huns were trying to “migrate” the RFC debt onto Murray’s company ?
And somehow the MBB spoiled the party by laying down the pound.
Sounds like the powers that be at Rangers will NEVER aknowledge any wrongdoing.
They just wanted to be on top, to make everything else go away.
Have they ever said they were in the wrong ?
Will they ever ?

sad inditement on my fair city but an honest one, I fear too many celts will be blinded by joy and not realise the ferocity of the backlash.
