I think some people have been reading too much into mentions of Rangers owing HMRC up to £75m. For clarity, the big tax case, with penalties and interest, could reach approximately £50m, but that is not the end of the story.
There is the wee tax case, the potential VAT liability relating to the income from Ticketus and VAT due each quarter. Then there is Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and National Insurance (NI). With the lack of financial information from Rangers barring this “£75m” statement, it’s possible VAT, PAYE and NI are delinquent.
Add this lot up and you can easily see why the taxpayer could be looking at a £75m hit, Rangers did not link this figure with the big tax case alone. I’ll leave it up to Craig Whyte’s next interviewers to ask how much of this figure has been incurred under his stewardship.
And remember, we’re only talking about HMRC debt here, don’t forget about the police, Glasgow City Council, utility suppliers and a multitude of small local businesses.
We don’t need no stinkin’ Rangers.

My next door neighbour is of the blue persuasion. We often take deliveries of parcels for him or his family when they are out.I am hoping we get one for him in the next couple of days.I’ll wait until my good lhady and khids are home then knock his door, when he answers he’ll hear music eminating from our abode and see the four of us standing with his parcel. We will then pass it to each other until the music stops then give it to him with a big, collective hoopy smile on our timmy faces.
Please Mr. delivery man visit me tomorrow.
Prob wouldn’t be able to get a big bottle like that in these days.

think that lot would have a heart attack, even thinking about life after RFC, but you know what its out of their hands and the thinking caps will need to get put on or the SPL will be in real trouble
if they dont change it to suit, then the rest of scottsh football will struggle before falling into part time welsh league levels.
i dont think celtic will hang about for that particular party, i would be surprised if they did not then push strongly for an out, but with good reason ligit grounds, due to ranger’s demise
but no matter what that lot must be treated as equals and suffer for their misbehaviour, no funny hanshakes please

I appreciate your endorsement :-)
I was offered the chance of publication probably 20 years ago now. In those days it would have been too personal and too radical for the eyes and ears of CQN, I don’t think that’s altered just yet :-))
I regret it so keep pushing your daughter!!

I’m just about keeling over myself.
But still trying to make sense of it all.
The drink has taken its toll.
But it has done its job too.
Here’s to this big day.

I didn’t think I could detest Nevin even more but I’ve just watched footage of him on tv tonight. I think I heard him say about Rankers going into administration was that it was “Morally corrupt but a great business decision.” Sounds like the lowlife was trying to justify what he did at Motherwell when players, staff and local companies were shafted by him and Big John ???? (It came across almost like he was proud of his past actions)
They are down, wounded but not finished yet.
The biggest ever Masonic campaign will be mounted in the most bigoted country in the world to maintain them.
Total focus on the park required now to finish them.Go to it Celtic.
Could any of you bhoys still up point me in the direction of any foolo foolo stuff that may have been put up earlier.
Not had a great day believe it or not.
A wee chuckle at hurtin huns would certainly cheer me up some.

Thanks for that. Spiers seems to forget that the huns couldnt wait for Celtic to be financially obliterated in 1994.

Just watched it myself. Thank you for that sir.
That Stephen Morrow lad looked like a wee boy at school who was desperately trying to stop a laughing fit.
Speirs looked distraught.

Situations Vacant
The Rangers Football Club, or its successor, has a vacancy for a part time Geography teacher.
Requirements:
Must be familiar with Scotland’s Geography.
Must NOT be a Timmy
Duties
To teach geography to Rangers first team players and the bus driver, who are unfamiliar with diverse Scottish locations such as:
Alloa, which, we just checked, is not in Hawaii. Naisy was getting excited and had made an appointment to get his hair bleached.
Stranraer, which we usually only travel through in July.
Annan who is not a girlfriend of McGregor.
Clyde, our groundsman is curious as to how they manage to keep the fiield dry.
Berwick which seems to have been scrubbed from our in house maps.
Montrose, see Annan
Remuneration
Open to negotiation, but we will be reasonable if you can pay us in used notes.

Hero. G’night.
I used to work in the Gulf.
The local Social Security Administration was called the
Public
Institute of
Social
Security
Or PISS as the expats called it. Not sure what the local knew it as.
Now I wonder if the people who renamed the Inland Revenue as
Her

Collectors
was a relative or someone from Scotland of the Carholic faith
Good night and sleep with sense of satisfaction

Gavil – thanks for posting. Brilliant.
A very nice day to be a Tim but I hope everyone at home will take care over the days and weeks to come. They will not die quietly and will be looking for innocent victims to vent their anger.
