CELTIC flop Teemu Pukki has been hailed as the BEST striker in the English Championship.

The Finnish frontman scored twice in Norwich City’s 4-0 victory over Bolton to hoist his goal tally to a remarkable 23 for the campaign.

Daniel Farke, his Carrow Road boss, and defeated counterpart Phil Parkinson agreed on the standard of Pukki after the one-sided encounter.

The Parkhead misfit, who claimed only seven goals in 26 league appearances following his £2.2million arrival from Schalke in August 2013, netted for his sixth successive game and is the leading scorer in England.

Farke said: “I work every day with him and see his quality. His goals come at key moments, but his workload for the team against the ball was outstanding.

“He is so important to linking the play. How he assisted for Marco Stiepermann’s goal was world class with his movement and then to have the anticipation to cut the ball back.

“He created so many gaps for his team-mates. I am very happy we have him.”

Beaten Bolton gaffer Parkinson added: “When you have a goalscorer of that quality, you have got a great chance,

“He is the best in the division.”

Farke added: “I appreciate his opinion because he is an experienced coach.”

The East Anglian outfit are in pole position in the race for promotion to the Premier League. They sit on 63 points, two ahead of Sheffield United.
