It is early enough in the season that Celtic have ample scope to recover from the odd reversal but with October just around the corner Neil Lennon and his players will be wondering why they have not won two consecutive league games this season. This particular oddity can be put right tomorrow if Celtic win and leapfrog Motherwell, who sit precariously at the top of the SPL, albeit having played a game more.
There is also probably some fine-tuning required on formation. We kept a clean sheet in both Champions League qualifying away games but have not achieved one in three away SPL games against weaker opposition than Helsingborgs or HJK Helsinki.
Motherwell exited the League Cup on Wednesday but don’t expect this to sap momentum; Celtic on Saturday is their cup final. We can expect a direct and physical challenge on what is likely to be a heavy pitch.
An early goal from the champions would settle the nerves. If they get this, don’t be surprised if they go on to win comfortably. Despite indifferent form this season the signs are there that Celtic are getting their game together. Prediction: 0-4.

I was in St Marys in the Calton 3 years ago last Cristmas and Father Peter had a huge wad of cash – given to him by Celtic FC – as they have done every Christmas, to give to the “poor'”.

Yes. Crime is the operative word here. After witnessing the latest outings by Chunky, I am turning my back to everything except Celtic F.C. and what games we are playing on a football field.
All this other crap, as I’ve long suspected, is way too big and way too dangerous for the likes of me.
None of what is going on bodes well for football in Scotland. I just hope Celtic can ride out the gathering storm.
Celtic F.C. was founded for a reason. That is where we have to look to now, and forget all the other rubbish being dished up by the orange mob. Our fight is now (always has) against the football regulators, if they force reconstruction and fast track the newbees which they have done already into our football league, into the top league, then well… They will have done what they threatened from the start, kill us and we will kill Scottish football, in doing so they will have exposed themselves to the football world. Unfortunately the football world doesn’t give a shit about Scotland, UEFA and FIFA are to busy lining their own pockets and are just as corrupt as the SFA with their rule bending money mission. If reconstruction of the leagues to benefit Scottish football is mentioned in the next 4 or 5 years by anyone, media or football authorities then you can be assured that it is for one club and one club only. I hope that the good people of Scotland of which there are many, again make their voices heard when the time comes which will be soon. The football authorities here have already bent the rules beyond recognition for the benefit of one club and got away with it, I think the clubs will be asked again soon if they prefer sport or cash induced entertainment. I hope that Celtic can get out if the game here if it goes the way I think it is, any form of euro league would be welcome but seems a long way off.
