It is early enough in the season that Celtic have ample scope to recover from the odd reversal but with October just around the corner Neil Lennon and his players will be wondering why they have not won two consecutive league games this season. This particular oddity can be put right tomorrow if Celtic win and leapfrog Motherwell, who sit precariously at the top of the SPL, albeit having played a game more.
There is also probably some fine-tuning required on formation. We kept a clean sheet in both Champions League qualifying away games but have not achieved one in three away SPL games against weaker opposition than Helsingborgs or HJK Helsinki.
Motherwell exited the League Cup on Wednesday but don’t expect this to sap momentum; Celtic on Saturday is their cup final. We can expect a direct and physical challenge on what is likely to be a heavy pitch.
An early goal from the champions would settle the nerves. If they get this, don’t be surprised if they go on to win comfortably. Despite indifferent form this season the signs are there that Celtic are getting their game together. Prediction: 0-4.

I know. I know – chill – I love him too, he just looked out of his depth today, and as I said – Yanks were dynamite over the first 9. Wouldn’t risk him again before the singles, though – confidence may have taken a battering.

TET,

and it seems that there is some more horrific weather heading that way

Paul Lawrie was our second best player out there this afternoon, only going by what he scored btw.
He is a quality player, calm under pressure, can play in conditions that most pros could only dream of playing in.
Shame his partner didn’t cut the mustard to help him .
Leave him alone :>)))
TET
I refer you to my previous retraction ;-)
BGFC
BGFC,
am chilled pal,it might have been better putting him out with someone
that had played in the morning,i think Poulter should have played again
so maybe him and Lawrie might have been a decent pairing

I posted earlier about my planed trip to the costa today, got within 20 miles, the feckin motorway was washed away.
There are berrancos here that I have never seen with water in them, they were raging torrents today.
Have been ok so far, but we have a warning for the next couple of days, problem is no rain for months, then it’s like a tap has been turned on, nowhere for the water to go, so everything becomes a mudslide.
Everything is crossed.
Two years ago I watched a mates house getting washed away, never want to see anything like that again.

But thanks for the concern :>)))

Agree on that one too – particularly don’t understand why Poulter wasn’t playing in the afternoon – first name on the team sheet for me.
Westwood’s putting was poor, Kaymer was down all afternoon, McIlroy and McDowell came up against guys in top form, etc. – blown away really. Not Europe’s best day, and relatively happy to get away with only being two down all things considered. Monty’s overly-partisan commentary got a bit annoying too!
New day tomorrow – better to come hopefully.
BGFC
WDH,
having seen a few of the photos from the bucket collection

burger van has drafted in some extra staff, a few of those bhoys

4 would be doing good, I thought I knew 5 the other night, the keeper, only cos he is their keeper, elbows, can’t miss him, the sandancer, and sheilds, now I am struggling.
The less I see of them the better, hopefully this time next year, I don’t recognise any of them, that’s me being hopefull I live that long.
Nighty-night folks – off to bed. Wee BGFC playing tomorrow morning early – Gartcairn vs Notre Dame – so up at eight bells.
Catch up later.

A lot of what I’m hearing is pointing towards exactly that TET.
However, as much as I would love it, there is also a worry about the game in general, not around and inability to survive without them, that has already been shown to be a shameful smoke screen by too many parties involved in this sorry saga. No, my worry is the SFA will collapse due to their part in bringing about this downfall, not through punishments but through their abject failure to properly scrutinise the Green business plan and identify the where it could potentially fail.
The game is a bogey, we just need to make sure we protect ourselves. I am firmly of the opinion the share issue will fail and they could run out of money by the end of the season, probably earlier. Unbelievably the press are sitting doing the exact same thing they done with whyte and Murray before him, (in fact they’re still doing it with Murray)
Anyway, hope you’re well, K.

Don’t waste your time offering Bonnie Tyler, random chocolates, because she’ll be holding out for a Hero.
the original plan was division 1 so as they would only be out of top flight for one season, this did not come to pass, next
stage is reconstruct again one season from top flight as is being suggested, if this does come to pass how can anyone seriously support scottish football?

Ta for posting the rte interview with NL…..no channel here will pick that show up about an Irish lad getting to play for Celtic….the huns wouldn’t like it.
Chunky fae Yorkshire gettin’ intae bed wi’ yon lot……he’ll end up totally compromised and indebted to them for life ; wherever he goes, whatever he does,he’ll belong to them. Dear god,can he really be THAT stupidly desperate for a few quid? Does he no realise what he’s playin’ with? And why would he feel the need to apprise that mob about a wee club fae Ibrox?
At that point I’ll shut ma gob.

Over the last 24 hours I have been contacted by two sources from within the Scottish Football League. They both told me a very similar tale.
One source said that within the higher echelons of both the SFL and the SPL discussions are at an advanced stage for a “rapid restructuring” of Scottish football.
This will accelerate Sevco’s progression up the leagues.
The other source was more specific and he stated that a 16 team SPL a ten team “championship” and a bottom 16 team SFL was being considered.
Both of these sources, contacting me independently, were very angry that “another stitch up”, as one man characterised it, was being hatched by the people in charge of the national game in Scotland.
Both these men said that this move, if it materialised beyond the stage of discussions, would be strongly resisted on the grounds that it was being created to benefit one club.
Developing story.

Here’s a thought.
What do we want for our kids?
Originality, creativity and thought processes that make them unique and identifiable? This is the skillset that will be in demand.
No doubt. That’s where its at both financially and spiritually.
Why do we demand ouur kids conform??
What wold happen if we encouraged our kids to go after Originality, creativity and thought processes that make them unique and identifiable.
We would be better as a people.
Why is this not taught?
