Celtic will almost certainly face HJK Helsinki in the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The Fins are 7-0 after the first leg of their second qualifying round against KR Reykjavik.
HJK were the first team to beat Martin O’Neill’s Celtic as they overcame a first leg deficit in the 2000 Uefa Cup to force the tie into extra time. Chris Sutton scored late to prevent the tie going to penalty kicks. HJK are also top of their domestic league after 17 games, so will be a well-oiled machine by the time the arrive at Celtic Park on 31 July or 1 August.

Possibly some circumambulation around the ol courgettes may help them to grow.
My Dear Kojo….
Regarding Victor…he sees himself as a midfield player, and rightly so IMHO..
The players that he most admires in football are midfielders…Paul Scoles and Michael Essien…
I can see him getting increasingly disgruntled if he continues to be played as a centre half because of our lack of cover for this position…
It could well become a deciding factor in how long we can hold onto him…
Yer Pal…Who Hopes That Yer Back Jiggin’ In The Very Near Future…
refuse to click on the record article – but if Neil did say that we won’t be signing anybody…. then he really has made a ridiculously crass remark. what if we sell 2 bodies before champs league? will we still not be signing anyone? we have failed to strengthen at all,and pulled out of the 1 signing we did agree to make. we were hopelessly short in europe last season (let’s be honest…) and … this is the big one…HAVE NO CENTRE HALVES… bar rogne, who have shown real quality. yes – charlie m does a job there, but both he and victor may well be needed elsewhere. If the club are serious about CL qualification, and in these austere times really want supporters to step up and by tickets, some quality has to be brought in. Failure to do so (yet again) will amount to further negligence from lawell, or a clear statement that bottom line finances are more important than actively improving the team (and by default the product for the fans).
Big, commanding, physical, imposing centre half – asap please. our wage bill has been SLASHED with all the boys leaving. to hark back to the early 90s… open the biscuit tin, and strengthen the seive. Other teams won’t be so stingy, and so will (deservedly) probably progress at our expense.

And block out the little Sun we get in Scotland. In a huns mind they would view it as a new sign…..dawn.
:)
4th qualifying round for Champions league -FC Basel, Dinamo Zagreb, Anderlecht, CFR Cluj, MSK Zilina, BATE Borisov, Partizan Belgrade, FC Salzburg or Helsingborg IF.}
Is this correct !
In my opinion the current squad is not strong enough to get us into CL never mind compete in it. We need players to get us to next level and yet again the board are too busy assessing our ex rivals demise as to what spending we do.
We stepped up and renewed despite the uncertainty as we told Celtic budget was in place and would not be affected by ongoing events.
Yet again, feeling let down and angry.
The board have to play this carefully otherwise there could be a lot of empty seats next season.
Meant to add, young Victor will develop into a fine centre back, he needs to have the game in front of him.
Peter Lawell on FF – Evil Genius
Peter Lawell on CQN =big useless haddie.
Can both be true?

I said 30-goals-a-year. It doesn’t matter how old he is. It’s just an example. It could be that Lenny thinks a different player will make qualification for the groups more likely. Whoever it is, we can afford to spend money that we know we can recoup in the event of being eliminated.
So say there is an offer of £7 million for one of our talented midfielders. We spend £7 million on the player or players Lenny thinks will make qualification more likely and only accept the bid for our existing squad member if we don’t make it. If we make it, we are out of pocket by an affordable amount. If we don’t, we sell and we are not out of pocket at all, and the squad would still be strengthened.

Some eejit painted it and it’s stuck!
Just had a look on the SFL website for the League Cup fixtures and saw:
‘The Rangers v East Fife’
Much as the huns love to unofficially refer to themselves as ‘the’ Rangers I think that little word in publication is going to cause them a lot of anguish!

In a parallel universe I’m sure that some believe that by process of metamorphosis he could still be both.
A bit like Clark Kent and Superman but using the home dressing room instead of a phone box.

A few things.
Ive always found the best way to nurture courgettes, blackberries and all manner of fresh produce is to keep them in the bottom drawer of the fridge after procuring from Asda, hope this helps.
My estimation of 98% of Killie fans has definitely gone up after seeing that twit pic,not much right enough but a certain rise.
Which brings me nicely to the RST article,I do hope some of its ‘members’ are reading the reaction from this website and can I just add,its no wonder your club has all the appeal of Carstairs, with a supporters trust like that, who would need enemies?

I think we are going to have to wait a while longer to work that one out.
Is the Great Architect a plant from a long time ago. :)

Watching the recent furore with the dairy farmers I feel guilty that I buy a 4 pinter of skimmed for less I think than £1.50,definitely 2 quid, fact is,I never notice how much I spend on it because its dirt cheap but if it meant paying double I’d gladly go back to the days of milk floats being everywhere and hearing the fascinating wee things whine and clink their way through the scheme at 4am everyday.

I’m getting a bit miffed here seeing so-called Celtic supporters slagging off hoopslegend Gerry Butler.
Bet these were the same guys who booed wee Fergus back in the day.
Shameful.
Livi Bhoy-Agree, Neil was on unReal Radio last week saying he wanted 3 or 4 guys in…..
