CELTIC STEP UP BAKKALI CHASE

CELTIC have stepped up their chase for PSV Eindhoven wonderkid Zakaria Bakkali – as CQN Magazine stated at the start of the month.
The 19-year-old Belgian striker was on Ronny Deila’s radar before the transfer window slammed shut.
However, Bakkali decided against the move to the SPFL champions while he runs down his contract at the Dutch outfit.
Ronny Deila, though, has not lost interest  in the international frontman.
A PSV source has confirmed the Hoops have formally made contact to inform them of their talks with the teenager.
The Eindhoven club had hoped to persuade Bakkali to agree an extension to his contract, but they have now accepted they will lose the forward in the summer.
They would have accepted a cut-price £750,000 for their hottest property last month, but will still be due a £200,000 development fee when he moves.
Celtic are in the hunt, but a they have been warned there are many other top European sides monitoring the player.
