    Saw a few posts about Leigh not getting back onside and even one post saying he costs us a goal against St Mirren, any chance he is just meandering back to try and play in the shoulder and take advantage of any tight decision like the St Mirren decision was, in recent times I have watched both Messi & Ronaldo amble back and hope to her and advantage (although different officials officiating their games) but maybe some watching the game know better, it is all about opinions :-)

    *I was there dn the Celtic end, only time I was in the Sarry Heid was before the game. I hadn’t been tae a game for ages, was “trying” tae play myself on a Saturday. What I remember was them scoring and nae real reaction from us as if so what we’ll still gub them and 0-1 down at half time we were the only ones singing.

     

     

    It was a Monday as New Year fell on the Saturday so the night before as I left mass I put half a crown in the poor box, after the game I said that it was a tanner a goal.

    I know it’s 7 more sleeps till our next league game but can I make my position quite clear – we are 6 points behind Hearts but have sill to play them 6 times. Therefore, it is a fact that the title is in our own hands. And therefore, it follows, that I hope they go to Ibrox next Sunday and hammer the opposition. Jobo Baldie.     GG and TONTINE TIM,

     

     

    That 5-1 game is one of my favourite games. It is the only game against the deid team that I watched from the Celtic End. (I say watched but could only see the end where the goals were scored because of the fog!!).

     

     

    I grew up, with my Dad, in what he always refers to as the Hayshed.

     

     

    Thanks for reminding of it.

    Referee Bobby Madden’s failure to say sorry for making “the worst decision in history” in Ayr United’s League Cup quarter-final defeat by Rangers is “scandalous”, says Ayr’s Ian McCall.

     

    Madden did not award a spot-kick on Wednesday after Alan Forrest collided with Jon Flanagan in the 4-0 loss.

     

    Boss McCall said post-match Madden had promised to “phone us to apologise”.

     

    The guy’s not phoned me. He should be man enough to,” McCall said on Saturday after Ayr thumped Morton.
