  1. Brogan Rogan Trevino and Hogan supports Kano 1000 on

    Evening Folks,

I have a quest for all the bankies on here.

Does anyone have any info about a football match played by a Clydebank Select against German and Italian Prisoners of war at Glenhead Park Duntocher sometime between 1943-46?

I will take the 3 points today– although I have no idea why Lustig did not play unless Rogne is going to feature on Wednesday ahead of Lustig.

Great night last night, with genuinely nice guys.

    Thankyou.

I’m very good thank you! How about yourself?

Good result today, although slightly uninspiring. Still, better than the game we were both at ;)

We really enjoyed it, top town. I thought seeing that Mickey Mouse performance might have been enough for you?

I know the score– it was 2-2 with the equalising penalty for the Bankies being scored by a guy called Seagull Madden. Charlie McGinley played in the game apparently– though not sure if he was playing for Celtic at the time or whether it was just after that.

My dad also played in the game which makes me think it was after the war.

  12. its a shame that rtc has walked off into the sunset, the replacement blog seems to be struggling a bit to settle down.. hopefully find a groove soon.. there is so much more of this mess to be hauled into the light..

  13. If Swansea rate joe Allen at £15m …

I wonder what Lenny’s win-to-game ratio is now?

He must be close to O’Neill’s total.

It’s like beating yer head off a brick wall mate.

I get fed up trying to explain to Epl fanatics that we have outstanding footballers at our club, and im not trying just to defend the Spl – Ki is international – once voted Asian young footballer of the year – last year he was South Korean footballer of the year – almost 50 caps for his country, yet still only 23 ffs.

Same as the Jellyfish – he was a quality striker,no doubt about it – Everton robbed the huns on that score – he goes to the “best league in the world” and shows them all how to put the ball in the net.How mush is he worth now? £15-20million?

Wanyama,67 – The best footballer that i have seen in years,at Celtic – cants are quoting £7-8million!!! WTF? He is a £20-25million player, all day long.

Wee Adam Matthews is the next one the Epl are going to try and buy on the cheap.

Does my head in it does.

  25. Gordon64 my point is tonight showed how strong GB can be. Wonderful stories especially mo farrah. Funded centrally by national lottery… Whole country is getting behind one of the best sporting achievements in uk history. You want to leave this… Why? Salmond will only succeed if he appeals to people’s cynicism and mean spiritedness. These games are blowing that away and are the best advert for modern Britishness I have ever seen… And I’m not even that patriotic…
