The irish cqn bhoy musta kissed the blarney stone :)

Im more peed off at the numpties who go out and in for pies and peas etc. Or are they going to the Ladbrokes.

  2. Evening all. Thought for long enough that it was going to be 1-1. Typical of so many games, where we have had plenty of possession and couldn’t turn it into goals. I thought we played some very entertaining stuff, especially Efe. He almost scored the goal of this or any other season.

I know we are wanting a poacher but we also need some one who can thread the ball through a packed defence.

Lovely day and the right result.

    Now about yon eejit, Ogilvie……..

I’m a fan of these bhoys who leave before the game ends!

I’m at the back of 112 and there are folk who leave bang on 80 mins down at the tunnel,I move into their seats every time they leave – it saves me being caught up at the back……….

wonderful idea, soon there will be no one left at all, well apart from those that want to moan their heads off at every turn, about everything at every opportunity.

so i’ll follow the likes of ln, pl, dd and lots of others before them by simply saying wanna give us peace to get on with being celtic

A wee mention for all the folks from this special place who helped out today.

They weren’t best pleased when I turned up with luminous orange vests for them but in fairness it really suited Voguepunter and Lionroars67!!

  10. I have left early twice in my 45 years watching Celtic.

Once in Manchester against Rapid because I was ashamed of the attack on their goalkeeper and once against Aberdeen in the 80’s when I felt that we had given up the ghost.

Those who leave early must have missed many great endings to games – 3 late goals in the last 2 home games alone. I don’t understand why people do it for the sake of getting a 5 minute start on the crowd.

  11. Celtic v Aberdeen at CP?

You do not leave with 10 minutes to go. You TURN UP with 10 minutes to go. :)

  12. I was up a few years ago for the Aberdeen game when JVoH scored in the last minutes to win 3-2.

Charlie Mulgrew scored a great free kick against us.

Game never picked up till we were two nil down.

Huge thanks to all CQN’rs and lurkers thanks to each and every one of you who helped out today. (esp those in Team 1 I share your pain :-))

To each and every one of you who contributed THANK YOU, I cannot begin to tell you what your contribution means to these bhoys and their families.

I got involved as my 18yr old went to Amsterdam for his first European Away game, I might be his Mum and a tad biased but honestly a nicer, kinder, gentler bhoy I could not have wished for. Never been in trouble, never brought a minutes bother to my door.

Today I met a Mum just like me whose son I could have been describing above. She was overwhelmed at the support “strangers” had given her and her family. Not just coins/notes in buckets today, but verbal support on blogs and of course the prayers.

Special thanks to Celtic today, their help was invaluable in making sure today was a success. In under a week the Celtic Family rallied round our own and for that I thank each and every one of you on behalf of everyone affected.

sorry. oot for a bit. Liam MacLeod on BBC might well be a Don but the last time I listened to him was the Dundee Utd game and he was just the same.

Kept referring to them as the terrors and the tangerines. You’ll never hear him refer to us as the Celts or the Bhoys..

He also claimed that D U has “terrorised” us throughout that game. No doubt he can’t wait until the “Gers” are back in the top league.

Not as bad as Begg or the twats on SSB but not far behind.

Just back from the game, my grandson asked why do we score goals so late. I told him it makes the win all the sweeter. He didn’t look convinced. Had a great day today and hope we collected a few grand for the Amsterdam legal fund. Met some really nice genuine people who read the blog, hope I meet them again as they are what this club is all about.

Don’t know if you have read this but I’ll post it anyway as it’s such a good read and Celtic are a big part of the story. My mate Gerry Hassan wrote it.

Fans travelling to Ireland don’t leave early – they don’t generally need to – also when you spend an entire travelling and spend a minimum of £100 to go you tend to savour every minute you spend at the game !!

Anybody got a link to the goals yet ?

  20. Glendaly

Aye there seems a bit of North East leaning on the BBC. A bit of Govan leaning on SSB. At least we have CQN! :)

  21. viewfaethewindae on

Really disappointed with the Aberdeen fans today.

I had the misfortune to sit three seats in from the sterile zone dividing Aberdeen fans from Celtic fans. Through-out the game they persistently taunted us with profanities, now I don’t mind the odd swear word however these guys took it to a new level, sung about paedophilia, terrorism and one or two other ditties beyond the line. Then the real nasty stuff started, just when the ‘tic scored the winner the coins started, I felt the brunt of one thankfully on the hand. Next the seats, two flew past me hitting a young fellow on the head. Bother is, what did Strathclyde’s finest do? Well absolutely nothing. IMHO if they’d arrested 5 or 6 at half time for causing trouble then Celtic wouldn’t have a repair bill heading their way. Wonder why opponent’s fans get away with criminal damage at Celtic Park while 5 Celtic fans face imprisonment in Holland? You can only imagine the joy all around when Celtic scored the winner.

Shame on Aberdeen and shame on their fans, a total disgrace, hope they get relegated.
