  1. Really looking forward to the Meelan game.

When you look at the respective squads,on paper,we have no chance of winning really.

As BRTH said……..strange things happen at Celtic Park.

Jealous of the fanatics roaring my team on in such a stadium on the night.

Celtic can do this and the players will feed off your energy.

Unleash hell from the stands Bhoys and Ghirls.

These European aristocrats are nervous and there for the taking.

    BELIEVE.

Corkcelt said earlier it was a great game, the type of game that would make first timers come back for more. Was going to post that most of them would’ve left before the 2 goals but thought better of it :o)

I enjoyed the match . Two decent teams if a bit scrappy in parts. Efe outstanding I thought, Pukki a square peg in a round hole still, pleased for Derk . And us. Good atmosphere . Good day

lol.just in from Mass, 3-1 against a good dons team. Hail Hail Bhoys. Keep it going and i know Neil just want’s Pukki to do it as do we all but he looks too light for the spl games in the League must see what Amido can do. Chuffed to bits to win 3-1.

I really enjoyed the game, Aberdeen didn’t come to kick us off the park, they tried to play football, and were close to getting an undeserved point.

Quality told at the end of the day.

We are lacking a quality midfielder, someone who can put his foot on the ball and make that killer pass, but we need someone up front who knows when to make the run for the killer pass.

    Pukki is not a striker, I reckon he is Commons replacement, I honestly think he could do a decent job in there, but hey, what would I know, I live in a cave after all >}

I got a message from Pixies fansite but was still too late for Barras tix. I’m thinking there must be some new fangled method of registering interest and purchasing. Gone are the days of waiting outside Virgin from 5am! :-)

  15. Saw the Pixies at the Queens Hall Embra around 1989. Like every other guy there, was just in awe of how cool Kim Deal was.

I enjoyed the result more than the game, getting a wee bit fed up of the style of play.

I’m more in the play 5 strikers camp than the Lenny play 1 sometimes none camp.

Glad that Aberdeen are starting to look a team, well past time that they were challenging for top 2-3, and always impressed with the numbers they bring.

    TET

I remember asking why so many leave before full time.

Some of the Irish bhoys explained the timing of their last ferry home means buses have to be away sharp. Bus drivers advised bus will leave without them rather than miss the ferry.

One bhoy told of sleeping in the bus station Saturday night then an additional £50 to get home next day.

I reckon….. that’s a pretty good reason. And sure having travelled all that way they don’t really want to go.

Btw… I heard some zombies discussing the fact that thousands leave ibrokes AT HALF TIME.

  19. Thanks to everyone who threw money in my bucket today behind the Celtic end. It was a pleasure to be involved in something worthwhile & hopefully justice happens for these bhoys in Amsterdam.

As for the game, Celtic look really one paced. Joe Ledley is a plank of wood & we lack a player of calibre at Centre forward.

Anyway good to win. Time to heat up and a sherry or 6.

Not posted on here for a long time, Hello to Paul 67, Martin and anyone else who remembers me from early CQN

    Hail Hail

  20. Just back from the game, courtesy of my brother’s season book, and I appreciated the 3 points that I thought we may not achieve.

Aberdeen were well organised defensively and playing on the break.

A couple of points on the game.

Both opening goals seemed to come from keepers leaving their line (as is the constant demand on here) and losing their position in traffic.

Boerigter gave us a boost but his link up work with Izzy needs more time as it was less fluent than with Sammi.

Pukki made a good number of runs and spun off his marker well but his ball protection was shocking. He loses possession to a bump or a stab tackle because he does not shield the ball well. He seems to want to rely on his speed and reactions, which are decent, to get himself away from defenders but, when they close on him again, he is lightweight in resisting. This is not about hammer-throwers intimidating him, it is about being able to handle legitimate physical force. There is a good intelligent player in there BUT…. Stuart Slater was a good player too.

Loving the Efe & Virgil show and another good outing for Darnell. The Dons manager called it right; this was a victory for our will to win more so than our quality.

Would like to see big Amido start the next league game. Pukki i’m afraid has still not shown anything that resembles celtic quality. More like Teemu Pishi.

    ————–

I hate to say it but the flying pig for the dead club never left his line and was rarely beaten. It’s a weird criticism of keepers these days, they shout come for the ball, and when they do the one time they don’t deal with it they get abuse.

Look at most goals scored from corners, most go in the middle of the goal that the keeper had vacated coming for the ball. Stay on the line and you catch that ball.

Just in from the bucket collection (missed the game :-)), what an effort by all. What a credit they are, collectors, leaders, organisers and of course the donators. What a family! I hope once the total known that we have raised a lorryload.

I had the privlege to have 1 of the dambhoys in my team and had a chat with him. He was the lucky one, as he was acquitted, but he will fight on until the other bhoys are cleared. I also had the privilege of the St John Doyle family.

Good to meet a fair few CQNers today, whilst not having a lot of time to talk to them. Long enough to get cash from Voguepunter though :-)

I would rather see the whole game, wait behind and let the traffic disperse.

I also head deeyel saying that on ssb, thousands leaving at half time.

Excellent summation as usual. I also thought Efe, Virgil and Fisher were excellent. Young Darnell certainly not looking out of place. Another gem, unfortunately in a position we are already well off in with Mikael & Adam.

  28. Pogmathonyahun aka Laird of the Smiles on

Enjoyed the game, especially the result, today. We badly need a penalty box predator, a striker who stays in the center of the park and doesn’t drift onto the wings. Big Derk put in 4 or 5 cracking crosses when he came on and a decent striker would have gobbled them up like Eggs Benedict. I would start with Derk, on the left wing, on Tuesday night and hopefully one of our ‘strikers’ will stay in the box to make use of his crosses.

Starry, good to see you back.

  30. The huddle……

The flying pigshit loyalist was surrounded by international defenders and was rarely beaten by poor strikers in a league that was loaded towards his team’s success on the crest of a wave of debt.

Look at his record in European competition.

A despicable excuse of a man and a no better than average goalie.

For midweek games it’s a tight schedule to get the last ferry but I’m pretty sure the Irish buses don’t leave so promptly that anyone has to leave early. For 3.00pm kick offs it’s not an issue.

People leave early to beat the traffic that’s all.
