Pitch has been poor for a couple of seasons. Can’t blame it on the weather, there are teams in the lower leagues in England that you see on tv every week with better surfaces than ours. Somethings not working. I remember Brendan wasn’t too complentary first time round on our pitch then.

We’ve got a full set of the large infra red lamps (artificial sun light) that are used throughout the EPL to encourage grass growth during winter. They’re kept under the Jock Stein Stand so the lack of sunlight is not the reason for the poor state of the pitch.
PS I have no suggestions as to what the reasons are.

i know.
they will promote some growth, but the bottom line is long periods of frost. using the undersoil heating, and lack of sunlight will still result in a threadbare pitch.
it will be fine mid february.
