  1. If we played Sevco or a half-decent European team, we could bemoan injuries.

However, can someone quickly add together the value of our team right now up against Livington and Dundee United?

Excuses don’t wash. The lack of imagination, lack of urgency, lack of a plan b is on the coach.

He’s not bulletproof and neither should he be.

  2. Why does Ange persevere with Ajeti?

He is not our only fit striker.

    He couldny strike a match.

Play Welsh or Scales up front.

They will provide an aerial threat.

    Ajeti offers absolutely nuthin’!!

    ———

    He’s not up to it.

  4. Unlucky not to win all three points, good second half performance, especially considering the thread bare squad.

Thank God der Hun are woeful.

Now for the greatest comeback in Ryder Cup history.

  5. Geebee

I didn’t know that. If Ange identified him, then that’s a big mistake. I’d have thought he would like defenders who can play the ball out of defence comfortably. Starfelt wets himself whenever he has the ball in or around the penalty box.

  6. No luck Celtic

More injuries, hit the crossbar 4 times and missed a sitter.

The number of soft tissue injuries is a worry

The wet tissue paper defence just as much

A few folk on here forget the shitstorm that Ange inherited when he took over the club.

We know who was to blame for that..and of course they will hide behind the criticism that is coming the managers way.

Ajeti and Soro are not good enough

    Rogic is not fit enough

I’m still not sure on Jota – rarely goes past the full back

As for Ange he is work in progress but at this moment in time he is not good enough

Our CEO walks or is pushed

We still do not know who buys our footballers

And the Celtic Board revert to a bunker mentality

And worse to come tomorrow when Pauk67 tells us the Huns are skint and the woodwork cost us

  9. Our players are dropping like flies….Our injuries are horrendous:-

    Julienne

    Juranovic

    Taylor

    McCregor

    McCarthy

    Forrest

    Furuhashi

    Giakoumakis

That is nearly full starting 11…these players are all starters in maybe our strongest 11.

  10. Soro must be one of the worst football players I’ve ever seen. Can’t control it and can’t make even the simplest of passes.

Sick of seeing Rogic prance about the pitch when we haven’t won the battle yet. Midfield has absolutely nothing to it.

And my favourite throw in issue – every other team commits players to a throw in, we don’t and give it away every time.

Resigned to scrapping for second place this season.

  11. Totally uninspiring comments from the Manager post match, more of the same coming up, injuries missed chances 2 wide men one instinctively comes in gets in front of his man and scores with a header Ajeti is a smirking waster, cut him loose in January

  12. Anyone still believe we had a good summer?

Have a look at the 11 that finished that game and tell me we had a good summer. If it weren’t for Adam and Tony stepping up could we even put an 11 together?

Shambolic disaster of a squad that can’t defend or create, where do we go from here?

  13. We go from Eddie Howe taking in all sorts of coaches and back room staff to an unknown 56yo Aussie with zero European experience. We partner him with Kennedy and Strachan and we pick up where we left off last season. This can’t come as a shock.

Ange will be given more time but that’s largely because we’ve no idea what else to do. Ange reflects his Board. They’re all useless.

We might still win this league but it won’t be with the personnel who were on the pitch today . A mixture of too many poor players and more capable players simply playing poorly. Take Calmac and Kyogo out of the team and we are neutered . Squad quality needs addressed in the next couple of windows .

Jota is some player but he needs a half decent striker to feed . Soro is not going to make it at Celtic .

  15. 63% possession to United’s 37%, yet we have 12 fouls awarded against us to United’s 5. When are the supine, spineless Board ever going to question these weekly disparate fugures?

  16. Just out the game.dreadful.absoulte decking pitiful performance.id say it’s the worst celtic team in 10 year.piwderfuff pish

  17. There must be half a dozen holding midfielders in the SPFL who are better than what we have. Fuchs of Dundee Utd is one of them. All our decent midfielders are creative attacking players.

AN DÚN on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:07 PM

Right, so you’re solution is sack Ange and do what?

    ——–

Our CEO and Club executive get paid handsomely to come up with solutions.

    I’m a fan. I’m calling a spade, a spade. We’re clearly shyte. And our manager clearly hasn’t a clue.

  19. Second place is not a given – to drop eleven points in first seven games, unable to win points away and now dropping at home. It’s said winning is a habit, well so is not winning, we’ve not developed the latter. The team has a soft-centre, as do most players in the squad. Disappointment will be the name of the game this season.

  20. 79CAPS on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:08 PM

Yeah, he gave one of those wry replies along the lines of “I know what he can do, that’s why I signed him, mate”.

His sarcastic teasing of interviewers is all fun and games if we’re winning – otherwise, it can quickly sound like latter-day Mourinho.

  21. glendalystonsils on

I read an interview with Ange the other day in relation to our injury pile up where he used the phrase “take it on the chin” . Somebody should advise him that the aforementioned remark is taboo for a Celtic manager .
